I have said it before, I will say it again. Twitter is a cesspool. I loathe that particular Social Media app down to its overly fashionable socks.
So this was something that was missed in the reporting about the hearings, and it's a doozy:
Here's the full video of Lion Ted ripping into Jack Dorksey
Jack Dorsey clearly has no idea what the hell he's doing; the man has no plan, and couldn't control what the people supposedly working for him do even if he wanted to. He thinks he's still in charge of a small startup company, not a massive tech giant with a disturbing amount of influence over American society.Ted Cruz: "Who the hell elected you and put you in charge of deciding what the media can publish, and what the American people are allowed to know?"
Dorsey: *incoherent squirming noises*
I hope they regulate the fuck out of these trusts.
You're absolutely right on this. All this talk is worthless. Action is what matters.Talk is cheap I want to see direct actions taken against Big Tech. And not slap on the wrist type actions I am talking about Knee Buckle Actions. So when the hammer comes down the Big Tech CEO's knees will buckle from the fines and sanctions.

I'd like to see the Big Tech CEOs in jail
On what charges? And how exactly are you going to charge the CEO personally when corporations act as liability shields in a vast array of corporate actions unless you could prove they had personal order this.
Regulations could happen. Antitrust could happen, but jail would be extraordinary. Only one banker did time in the 08 and the frqud was far more direct and extended.
Al Capone got nailed for tax evasion. If the will is there they'll be nailed for perjury.Perjury under oath to the congress of the united states is punishable by 5 years in prison and fines on top of that in egregious cases. We have called up tech CEOs to testify before congress on several ocasions including Mark Zuckerburg, Jack Dorsis and the CEO of google. They have all made claims that were proven by whisleblowers to be materially false.
We can put them in prison for that alone.
