How would this change America and the world?
...FDR becomes a Republican? How would this change America and the world?
50-51 isnt at all likely, the Soviets were running on fumes at the end of WW2 their manpower was dry, their Atomic program wasnt happening if a war broke out and their logistic chain was reliant on three railways in Eastern Europe.Operation Unthinkable probably goes down so WW2 will stretch into 50 or 51 most likley.
How would this effect the great depression?FDR becomes a Republican?
I honestly have no clue as it depends on when the transmigration happens. How would this effect the great depression?

I agree that the big depression in the US ends faster. Communist spies are caught and hanged.
However, a strike at the Soviet Far East is la-la land - besides varfious other considerations, getting there requires passing thought Japanese waters.
Also, military expansion and/or the A-Bomb will not happen at RR snapping his fingers as that requires Congress to vote the money. I see slim chances of that ...
Nevertheless what will not happen is no 2nd LNT and thus fleet renewal begins slightly earlier, with no money wasted on rebuilding the WWI era rustbuckets. Also - more carriers.
However, like I've mentioned, the USA might go to war and unlock military spending in December 1937.
Elected politician not fulfilling campaign promises shocker! One thing i think would be interesting would be how people react to fdr changing his policies so radically.
This isn’t just him not fulfilling promises, this him changing his politics to a relatively radical degree. Going from a firm economic leftist to a firm economic rightist is not something that happens often.Elected politician not fulfilling campaign promises shocker!
Nothing to see here, move along ... move along ...

Touché. Though i think it would be funny to read about fdr ittl and how he basically reversed most of his economic policies after he took officeConfucius say - "not mattel if cat black or white, what matter is cat catch mice".
Indeed you are with that answer of yoursI'm a strange person
From what I remember reading is that Wallace makes FDR look like a John Birch Society member.the first answer to the question that popped into my head was "FDR/Regan immediately has some sort of anyrusim/stroke because his brain isn't formatted correctly, dies, and we get president Wallace,
