So, anyway, back to my discrimination point, which is where things left off before we got weird.
A huge component of regulating society is not how the government rewards or punishes people, but how people choose to interact with each other. In olden days, promiscuity, for example, wasn’t necessarily illegal, but social stigma against it reduced its prevalence tremendously compared to today.
Discrimination is one significant way in which people use their free choice to regulate society. Now that the government has banned it, at least banned discrimination against things that leftists like, then the people can’t use their free choice refuse to associate with people who might be harmful to them or their interests. That is one reason, aside from principle and consistency, that discrimination should be allowed.
Also, the left has no issue what so ever in discriminating against people that they don’t like - white people, men, and especially conservatives who can be systematically shut out of education or job markets.
