You are the King (or Queen) of some mid-tier Duchy or Province or lesser Kingdom that swears fealty to some powerful Emperor who rules over the Council of Electors (in which case you'd be one of them). Regardless your influential and you rule over a fairly stable and wealthy feudal regime. Alas, being on the frontier, your constantly under threat from Orc/ks, Trolls, Undead, and Pagan Hordes from the Eastern Steppe or Corsairs from the Southern Seas. Needless to say, without strong leadership, all of that stability is ephermal.
Thankfully you have a strong, noble, healthy and VIRILE male Heir to continue your noble line. He's a dutiful lad who despite finding it boring, pays attention to the lectures of the learned men and has proven himself capable on the tournament grounds, on various formal functions and visitations and has limited his abuse of the lowborn and other witless peasants to minor levels of prankery. Like good and proper young lads in High Fantasy settings, he's set off on a series of adventures, doing a little dungeon delving, a little monster slaying, brigand and pirate hunting and recently on his latest adventuring expedition, slew a Great Sea Troll Hag in single combat or something and rescuing a dozen ships from the Maelstorm. Pretty cool. Now that he's come of age... it's time to marry that fucker off and have them start making even littler Heirs. Also this marriage is meant to secure and enhance your own Kingdoms reputation, prestige, standing and hopefully stability and security.
And maybe... just maybe... you can take in your Heir's considerations as well. He's received reports of the potential Princess candidates to be sent for courtship and he has helpfully arranged them in order of who'd he'd wanna "court" for your perusal.
In the Princes order...
1. Princess Aubrey (Currently Un-Nobled): "Her current occupation appears to be 'Grave Robber.' Information suggests she poisoned her previous wealthy husband after an arranged marriage who exposed her to years of neglect and abuse which maybe understandable, but this was also the time she engaged in the unsavory 'occupation' of grave robbing and dungeon delving. Our young Prince apparently adventured alongside this Rogue during his initial adventures, with her revealing her noble background around a campfire. While there's an obvious mutual attraction here, marrying her would provide little material benefit to the Kingdom and may cause predictable scandal as despite being of noble bearing, her career choice is certainly frowned upon in the least." - Chamberlain Notes.
"She's S-Tier for me. We've gone on so many adventures and bonded so much in person, unlike with the rest of the potential suitors. And most importantly, she was a Lady before and she's willing to be a Lady again for me. (Also I might have already impregnated her)" - Prince Notes.
2. Princess Merida of Dun Broch: "Merida is a princess by birth and an adventurer by a spirit. She spends her days practicing archery, riding her horse Angus, and exploring the world around her. She loves her family, but she wants to control her own destiny. She issued the offer of Courtship with the Enthusiastic Backing of all four Clans. She has heard words of his adventures and apparently wishes for a worthy companion as her betrothed. Compared to the Empire we serve, Dun Broch is underdeveloped and ungovernable so this could be a good segway into those lands populated by strong warriors resilient to all encroachments so far and strategically placed as well." - Chamberlain Notes
"I can't wait for us to get married! We're going to be married and riding together, our hair flowing in the wind as we ride through the glens, firing arrows into the sunset! She has a sexy accent too and said she'll teach me horse archery and how to kill a Demon Bear! Did I mention the red hair?" - Prince Notes
3. Queen Anna of Arendelle: "Arendelle is a small but prosperous Northern City State and the new Queen Anna is looking for a Suitor who won't murder her which shouldn't be a problem. Arendelle is strategically located in the North and could develop into a strong ally or more if we enter marriage into it. The nation itself isn't particularly powerful, though the Queen's sister is a powerful outlier. The Prince would likely be spending more time in Arendelle as opposed to here however which could complicate matters." - Chamberlain Notes.
"I heard she punched Prince Hans with a right hook, knocking him off the ship. His potentially being unconscious combined with the frigid water means he almost certainly died. That's hot... almost as hot as that long red hair of hers." - Prince Notes.
4. Fa Mulan of Chi-na: "Although not of nobility, she gained great acclaim for saving China from the Hun Invasion as well as other service to the Emperor of that far off land. She therefore has been elevated to the highest of noble status. She's expressed interest in the Young Lord, apparently attracted to capable military men and being of a military background herself. A betrothal to such a far off Lady would yield unknown benefits but they could be potentially bountiful, especially for trade and diplomacy." - Chamberlain Notes.
"Apparently she was dumped by some Chinese General for not being an actual clumsy soldier femboy twink. Sad. And gay. I am a tomboy respecter." - Prince Notes.
5. Princess Azula of the Fire Nation: "The Fire Nation is extremely powerful. They are also highly aggressive and expansionist. Closer ties to them would mean a great deal of help solving many of our own external problems, but could create more internal ones if not handled correctly. And Princess Azula, with all due respect, exhibits some very abrasive personality traits." - Chamberlain Notes.
"Father! Princess Azula just sent me a love letter after learning about my Sea Troll Hag Slaying. It says 'Together you and I will be the strongest couple in the entire world! We will DOMINATE THE EARTH!' She also says I dress sharp, so sharp that I could sunder the world, plunging it into a cataclysm comparable to the Awakening of Deathwing!" - Prince Notes.
6. Princess Moana of Motunui: "The Polynesian people of which she belongs to are on the other side of the World. Even farther then this Chi-na place but they're gifted seafarers and through correspondence have desired to open trade and diplomatic relations with us. Their peerless abilities at navigation and seamanship could offer untold benefits for our own merchant marine and commercial developments but the sheer distances involved would result in little other tangible benefit, at least in the foreseeable future." - Chamberlain Notes.
"My correspondence with her has stricken me with Yellow Fever and the only cure is a vacation in the Southern Seas." - Prince Notes.
7. Princess Elena of Jafari: "Jafari is a Kingdom in East Africa. So closer then our other candidates but still a fair bit away. Like our young Lord, Princess Elena is a warrior of great renown in her Kingdom. Details on Jafari are slim though its reputedly a place of great learning and quite cosmopolitan. Their daughter is well traveled, free spirited and very charming. It's unknown what benefits betrothal may offer however." - Chamberlain Notes.
"We went dancing at the Royal Ball and she taught me the basics of Capoeira. In return she showed interest in mastering the long spear... and this time I'm not even using sexual innuendo. Also I am told 'Black Don't Crack' which I assume is a positive trait. Did I mention she's like six feet tall?" - Prince Notes.
8. Princess Eldyra of Tiranoc: "On one hand, she's of the Asur, the long lived High Elven race of Ulthaun. On the other hand, she's the youngest daughter of her family and has little inheritance. A capable warrior, she was apparently rebuked by Ulthaun's Phoenix King which caused her great embarrassment and humiliation. As the daughter of a famous High Elf warrior named Eldyr, she apparently decided to go abroad to find her place in the World. For some reason, she has shown an interest in courting our young Lord. A marriage with her would prove unusual. Her kind can live for hundreds of years and her potential offspring would be likely longer lived as well if such a coupling does prove fruitful." - Chamberlain Notes.
"My Squire told me its not gay if its with an Elf. That's neither here nor there. I'm not sure the practicality of marrying an Elf but I am MORE THAN WILLING to marry a beautiful, fertile, Elf Princess who will never visibly age... for the good of the KINGDOM of course." - Prince Notes.
9. Princess Margaery of House Tyrell: "The Tyrells of Highgarden are an extremely influential, wealthy and connected family in Westeros. And Princess Margaery is reputably one of the most beautiful women of the Seven Kingdoms. Securing a marriage with them will provide an economic boon for us as well as legitimize our our Kingdom in diplomatic affairs with House Tyrell backing us in our endeavors. We'd also have the benefit of them being beholden to us due to our superior military. Furthermore Westeros is close by unlike some of our suitors and would be seen as a perfectly sensible and wise courtship. Conversely, Westerosi politics are a mess which could be hazardous to invest in. But Westerosi and our own Imperial nobles lineages are still closely intertwined." - Chamberlain Notes.
"My Warden told me its not gay if its with a Tyrell. Also neither here nor there. I mean I won't turn down a pretty face, and she is very classic Princessy." - Prince Notes.
10. Princess Aranessa Saltspite of Sartosa: "The stories about her being the daughter of the God of the Seas Manaan may very well be true, but this self styled Pirate Queen seems erratic at best. She's a woman of few words and has about as much mirth as the North Sea. Our Prince rescued her from the Maelstorm after slaying the great Sea Troll Hag. In return she has stated she will pledge herself into a Union with our Young Lord in exchange for support of liberating Sartosa from her rivals (who just happen to be our Rivals in the Seas as well) and if true, would secure the safety of our commerce for at least a generation to come if only to fulfill her debt but... she's also a pirate." - Chamberlain Notes.
"When I saw her in combat, I was almost able to look past the fish jaw, scaly skin and lack of lower extremities. But when I saw her smile at me as we stood on the forecastle of the ship admiring the sunset, I realized then and there... I can fix her. " - Prince Notes.
And remember this is a ranking... though I might add a poll later. I dunno.
It's safe to assume that everyone here if not detailed already, has expressed interest in the young Prince (who I guess has game like an anime Pornomancer or something) and a genuine desire to court him without stabbing him in the back for reasons of convenience. And while he ranked the choices himself, he's more than open to marrying any of the potential Princesses on the list.
