"BEEP!"
I want to give it a chance, but I also remeber liking the trailer to Thor: Love and Thunder only to be horribly disappointed by the film.
Speaking of extraneous casting...
Rumors came true apparently.
Poor Harrison Ford. Why would he do this to himself? Just look at the comments and all of the people who are strangely enthusiastic about him being cast as a minor character in Captain America 4 of all things. Especially since they're just going to CGI Red Hulk him sooner or later apparently. And Sam Elliot is still alive as well... smh.
Doctor Strange would have been a fantastic leader if given the right buildup. This comes from three main things I think. Frist is the lack of strong leaders. There is no Ironman to lead the Avengers and tie everything together. They wanted Captain Marvel but no amount of PR could make up for a lack of acting. So the new movies are mainly about heros that are smaller then Captain America or Ironman.

And he needed a second movie that focused on him more than Scarlet Witch.True, I liked the frist one a lot but overall it was a forgotten movie in the age of bigger hits like Captain 2.
He needed more then a end scene in a Thor movie. A second movie with some greater tie in to T.V. series could have set him up.
Ant-Man: Quantumania is getting the second worst rating from critics of all MCU films which is actually pretty true to form with Phase Four films as the current 55% rating from Rotten Tomatoes would put it behind Thor Love & Thunder which got a barely fresh rating of 64% and came out last year and 2021's The Eternals which had the lowest rating of an MCU film with 47%.
The reviews apparently aren't trashing the film, but a more common consensus is that the movie is just a middling effort, recycling tropes common to MCU films. It had a lot of 'scale' but lack a 'spark of fun' that the earlier Ant-man films had. A lot of terms like "muddled, chaotic, uneven, supersized and noisy' were used as adjectives, and often not in flattering terms when compared to the smaller scale stories of the prior Ant-man films.

When even the paid shills can give it 5/10 at best then you know it is worse crap than the average Serbian or Turkish film school movie.I felt that all the Ant-Man movies were mediocre at best and really did not have any "spark of fun" at all. Quantumania simply double-jumps the shark that Ant-Man jumped from the beginning.
I'm of the reverse opinion usually. If the critics hate it, it means I'll probably like it.When even the paid shills can give it 5/10 at best then you know it is worse crap than the average Serbian or Turkish film school movie.
Yeah, this is a movie that is so bad both the critics and the audience hate it.I'm of the reverse opinion usually. If the critics hate it, it means I'll probably like it.
Seems to be the typical thing woth Hollywood/Disney...destruction of the Hero. With the original Ant-Man movie, my dislike of the movie ends up being rooted in the fact that there is literally no reason to side with Ant-Man other than him being the protagonist. The "villain" is completely in the right, the "hero" is completely in the wrong, there isn't even any heroic cause to give a "bigger picture".

Er doomcock can be hit or miss though when he is right, he's really right.
But that's if they hate it; giving it a 5/10 means that's the best they could do without exposing the scam.I'm of the reverse opinion usually. If the critics hate it, it means I'll probably like it.
