I agree that an endless lockdown is an untenable solution to the Corona Virus; but I'm seeing people who disdain even the most minimal of precautions to protect the venerable portions of the population. It's also important to recognize that we don't know how our immune system interacts with the Corona Virus yet. Sure, it's not usually deadly to someone presumably young and fit like yourself, but what happens if your body isn't able to easily develop an immunity to the virus? What if you catch it two, three, or even dozens of times in succession; what is that going to do to you, particularly over the long term?
I'm not saying that there are not other things to worry about in addition to the pandemic itself; the economy foremost among them. I'm just saying that ignoring the danger isn't going to make it go away, that you could be far less safe than you assume, and that there are things we can do to minimize the spread which don't require you to give up your livelihood. Wear a mask, wash your hands, avoid close contact, clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces; these are not, I feel, too much to ask of you.
