Not to mention that this idea of PA being just a Silver Surfer bodysuit is incredibly lame.

That's an in-universe pulp comic tho, probably made by somebody who only heard descriptions of PA. ;)

m Game mechanics aren't the same as lore.

FO3/FNV, which present PA as little more than Combat Armor+, down to having the PA have fingerless gloves? I mean the FNV mod that's meant to make the PA more like the isometric certainly doesn't have it be some silver bodysuit: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/78688?tab=posts&BH=0

I mean, most kills w/ energy weapons in the games are just people dropping the same as if they'd been hit with bullets. We do see laser weapons various times in the show, but never see them fired. IMO it's a budget issue, there are various scenes that would be giant budget hogs (LA being nuked...

BoS shoulda used laser rifles to draw an even bigger contrast between them and the NCR remnants.

That seems really implausible in a combat scenario. Maybe if you catch a guy sleeping in PA, but if you catch a guy sleeping you've pretty much all but already won.

Talking animals, such a deep iconic part of Fallout that you can't imagine it without them

Indeed! It's just Emil's headcanonerino apparently. Despite Nate being written under that assumption by Bethesda and Emil being the head writer for FO4. So basically it's canon. but you can hc otherwise lol.

As I said earlier: As to the tanker, what's more hilarious is that they could have flawlessly won just by putting the FOB it needs to dock ... on the Oil Rig. There was no reason not to.

Why God why? They had a perfectly good G3/CETME ripoff w/ the R91, now they do this?

The plot of FO2 was literally "things the devs found cool", right down to the opening cutscene being the Enclave gunning down rando Vault Dwellers for no reason. The tone was terrible too, with this dark plot centred on racism and genocide ... having as its main villains a parody of both Nixon...

It's a game mechanic - you start getting Enclave armour in FO3 around the midgame, whereas the T51 is a unique piece of gear you get by doing a bonus dungeon - notably the Hellfire armour in Broken Steel, a DLC item, is directly comparable to the ingame T51 while having better stat boosts. FNV...
