It's just such a weird decision to use an established location, seriously, while the mutant invasion mechanic was ultimately 99% cut, the areas closest to the Master was destroyed first. Which makes sense. No way any vaults there survived.

I'm not super old, so obviously I played it well after it released. But because I actually give a shit about various series, I gave it a shot and admire it for what it is. The series hasn't 'had' a resurgence, a skinwalker walking around in Fallout's skin has resurged. But dead is better.
