Amazing Atheist Opinion

I think he’s good on a lot of issues. He’s mostly a left winger, but willing to point out the worst excesses of the social justice left, which is when he’s at his best. He’s an edge lord, so says a lot of controversial things to get a rise out of people, which can be good in this overly politically correct age. My opinion of him is more positive than negative and I subscribe to his YouTube channel.

I used to really like his videos back around 2011–2012, and a lot of his older (2009 or thereabouts) videos back when he was still an edgelord filming from his dad's garage are still kind of funny, but his content got old and I stopped watching. I haven't thought about him in years.

That said, the BRICK videos do still make me laugh:

FULL DISCLOSURE: I have, unfortunately, seen the banana video.

I don't think I ever had a very high opinion of him or the other internet atheists who populated the Youtubes back in the day around the same time the whole New Atheism thing was going on. Clearly having Christopher Hitchens and TJ Kirk existing in the same polemical space of popularizing anti-theism shifted me more towards the former then the latter simply because the latter just seemed rather unnecessarily loud and bombastic and not as substantial. I don't mind polemics as long as it's witty and has a point and whilst often condescending and even smug, is substantial enough to hold it up. Plus his name is very self-aggrandizing. :p

Didn't realize he was still up to stuff nowadays. Saw a clip of him on the Joe Rogan podcast ages ago.
