Amazon Prime Amazon Fallout series.

Add in that he eventually gets forgiven by the elder because he realizes how far they have gone from what it meant to be a knight
Exactly, of all the characters in the show Maximus gets shit on the most for being the most human???

Maximus was written to be a young but abused and socially inept guy, he literally grows out of this because he gets freedom to make his choices the way he wants after his Knight dies.

Like I swear I'm gonna have to make a whole thread to the analysis of this character because it's ridiculous how hated he is

He has the ideals of a classic BoS member.

Like anyone wouldn't let Michael Rappaport die slowly and miserably if given the chance.

Before you all judge Maximus, look in the mirror.

You mean after he kills his knight? And let's face it, that's what he did.
Yes he killed his Knight because he said sacrilege about their order, expressed cowardice and malice to get Maximus executed for not getting killed by a mutant bear. Titus threatened Maximus with EXECUTION for the audacity of not dying as bait.

Why are you siding with Titus like he was some victim lol? You do know they inferred that Titus routinely gets his Aspirants killed needlessly?

I never said Titus wasn't a bad guy. I just have no illusions that Maximus is some sort of hero for his actions. After his Knight dies...Max steals the armor instead of reporting what happened to the BoS.

Titus can be a POS and so can Max.

You're literally the only one thinking that people thought he was a good guy lol

Max stole the armor because he was afraid they were going to execute him for failure???? Dude was fucked if he helped Titus and fucked if he contacted them after his Knight died.

You forgot he was already in hot water for being thought as someone that would purposely harm a member of the Brotherhood.
Titus can be a POS and so can Max.
Max isn't a piece of shit for not wanting to die, I don't know if you paid attention to the fact they wanted him dead for the audacity of living?

It's like calling someone a piece of shit for killing a Military officer that committed treason and was going to frame you to get a firing squad.

Yeah it's kind of what I said this morning in this thread, and in my review of the episodes as I saw them earlier in the thread. First episode or two, I thought he was pretty bland and generic, but as the episodes moved on and he was following his own path and navigating it, and interacting with people like the Vault Dweller, he definitely grew into a far more interesting character IMHO.

I call it the Ahsoka treatment, introduce unlikeable character then give them character growth.

Ghoul represents Evil Karma playthrough where he's impulsive and will destroy anyone that gets in his way.
Maximus represents Neutral Karma playthrough where all he cares about himself until Lucy comes along
Lucy represents a Good Karma playthrough where she seeks to resolve all confrontation and the least hostile manner.

Wut? A classic BoS member? Those guys were isolationist, didn't help anybody, were actively seeking out military technology to hoard and sent people on suicide quests.
Classic Brotherhood 100% helped people it's mentioned in the Interplay games that one of the NCR states was the safest because the Brotherhood protected them.
What Scooby-Doo said.
Like, even in 3 and 4, the BoS don't act as bad as Titus acted
