Who wants to be a solar lord?
Hmm, the Baron and Duke options are traps. Both will run out of one of the resources without being able to use the other efficiently. Margrave and Count have enough balance to be usable depending on if you want people or stuff.

This CYOA is really easy to max-out to a ridiculous degree if you do a bit of math. It's possible to use the various cost-reducers to basically be good at everything so long as you aren't take Duke (Who can't afford the cost-reducing agents) or Baron (Who can get all the agents but won't have the points to build much of anything even with cost reducers). I was able to come up with a build that has nearly every science (all the ones that matter and a few more), ridiculous manufacturing, and scads of powerful allies and agents pretty easily.

Planets and Stars
Red Giant Star (10)

Habitable Planet (135/10)
-Cities
-Mines
-Five Construction Yards
-Spaceport
-Hypernet Access

Gas Giant (40/0pts)
-HE-3 Mines/Spaceport
-Pressure Forge

10 Barren Moons (30/0)

Stellar Remnant (Neutron Star) (75/0)
-Antimatter Station
-Exotic Physics Station

This build gives me massive room for expansion in construction yards and a solid head start on building. The Antimatter Station, Pressure Forge, and Exotic Physics Station are each required for special advanced technologies that will make the fleet invincible. I can add another antimatter station, up to ten shipyards, and enough science stations to max out the entire tech tree. I can add dozens of cities come time to add more people.

Agents
Dmitri
Stephanie Vox
Caladrius A5
Doctor Bosen
Lucia White
Ikari
Pilot A
Georgia Lorentz
Nadja (Free)
Hellhound (Free)

Totals: Combat 4, Support 4, Espionage 4, Tech 8

This gets me 4 support (enough for 2 free agents), 4 each combat and security (Free battleship or five cruisers), half price batch purchases, 5 extra level 1 technologies, -20 to the cost of allies, and all batch purchases are fully upgraded free. The cruisers are technically worth more points than the battleship but since I get half price on batches, I can optimize better with the non-batched battleship.

Allies

Duke Moriz: Liege Lord

Baron Gregory
Captain Sasha
Rathe Manufacturing
Assassin's Troupe
Lady Violante

So the assassins are on my side, the pirates are on my side, my vassal has a decent star system but needs help getting it up to speed, and Lady Violante just wants excitement which she's likely to get when Jigger shows up. Rathe Manufacturing will move to my system once they see how many construction yards I have, dramatically reducing my economic competition since they'll become minions.

I'm vaguely annoyed I have to pay for my boss, especially since most of these bosses don't appear to actually do much for you.

Enemies
Archon Karkas
Jigger

Yeah, I'm taking the two evilest and most powerful enemies possible. First because I want the points and second because enemies who want to destroy mankind are my enemies by default so might as well get points for them.

Science
Level 1
Anti-Aging Serum
Active Camouflage
Heat Transfiguration
Personal Shields
Personal Teleporters

Level Two
Cloaking Device
Planetary Shields
Strong AIs
Hard Light
Industrial Antimatter
Ultradense Materials
Particle Locking
Antiquagma
-Reserved

Fleet
5 Full-upgrade Transports (20)
5 Full-upgrade Destroyers (20)
3 Science Vessels (40/30)
-Improved Labs
1 Battleship (Free)
1,000 Power Armor Soldiers (25/15)

Due to Particle Locking technology, my ships take no damage from any kinetic or energy-based weapon which is going to be almost everything. Meanwhile due to Industrial Antimatter and Cloaking Devices they have significantly improved firepower and speed and can turn invisible. This means the only way to reliably win a fight against my ships is boarding actions and espionage... oh look at that, my ships have power armor troops with particle-locked armor immune to kinetic or energy weaponry, hardlight shields and weaponry, teleportation, strong AI directing them, and they've been trained by the Assassin's guild. Good luck with that boarding action plan even before you wind up facing Hellhound or Nadja at a critical junction.

The Plan

First order of business is to expand manufacturing. Each yard costs 25 points and manufactures 5 points every six months, and each of my ten barren moons can have one. At the 6 month point I have 1 extra yard, mine, and spaceport (I'm presuming it's hard to use a yard without a spaceport). At 1 year I have two more yards, mines, and spaceports, and five towards the next construction yard.

At that point it likely becomes necessary to build up my fleet, a year is as long as I can reasonably expect to go without having to build up, even with the number of supporters I've got. My 7 yards give me 35 points to play with so 25 go into building 5 maxed-upgrade cruisers and 10 into the construction yard under way. Do the same the next six months for 10 cruisers total and another completed yard.

Fleet by year 2:
5 Transports
5 Destroyers
10 Cruisers
1 Battleship

Not terrible. At this point begin constructing jump gates and putting orbital defenses around every world. There are two science slots reserved for constructing a pocket universe and science station to research Pocket Universe and Gridfire once we get the jump gate done (6 months).

By this time Duke Moriz is likely to be making noises about defending his ringworld. Send some cruisers over and a science ship to check things out. Transports will carry goods for repair if needed to build goodwill. Once all 15 yards are under construction (around five years), begin building my own ringworld. It will only take about 2 and a half years and by then I can fill it with ten more construction yards an another year and a half. If my enemies show up, use Gridfire to soften them up before the fleet hits them.

At the ten year mark I will have twenty-five construction yards. I can manufacture each six months 100,000 more power armors, five max-upgrade battleships, or twenty max-upgrade cruisers with plenty of manufacturing to spare. I can also build a dreadnought in six months with room for 25 points of upgrades. Build three to lead me to having half the galaxy's dreadnoughts under my command, then six more months to max out upgrades and put a planet destroyer weapon on them in case I need to go exterminatus on the Jigger or Archon.

Estimated Fleet by year 15 (Less losses in combat)
5 Transports
10 Destroyers
50 Cruisers
10 Siege Ship
1 Battleship
3 Dreadnought
101,000 Power Armor Troops

Well it's been a while but I remember once doing a baron playthrough, maybe they edited it to be harder? Anyway I don't know about Duke though, but do you think it might make more sense that instead of paying to become a vassal, you instead gain that number of points by pledging loyalty and fealty to that character instead? Because why would you pay someone of your own free will to become a vassal? Would that make a Duke build better?

Well I don't mean you can't make a baron or duke period, just that they can't use their points remotely as efficiently and you'll wind up with a much weaker Desmene than otherwise possible. F'rex a Duke gets 50 intrigue points. You have to take a boss that outranks you so the only liege lords available to a Duke are Princess Theia, Jigger, and Archon and all of those cost significantly more than 50 points so even with several enemies, you have nothing left for agents and thus nothing to get discounts. You have a lot of points for your world and fleet but a Margrave or Count who's optimizing for, say, ships, can pay a lot less to get a Duke liege lord, and also afford enough agents to get fully-upgraded half-price ship bundles. So 'frex a Duke has to pay 200 infrastructure points for twenty fully-upgraded cruisers while the Margrave will be able to get forty fully upgraded cruisers for only 150 points, and this only gets worse as fleet sizes rise. Worse, science costs more intrigue points so the Margrave will be rocking things like antimatter weapons, gridfire, and planetary shields (and can use agent discounts to get them cheaper) while the Duke's ships and planets won't have that kind of firepower. A Duke is both heavily outnumbered and heavily outgunned. Meanwhile a Baron can easily get the same discount as the Margrave but as a Baron only has 100 Desmene points in the first place, he can't get more than twenty cruisers for 75 points and then has only 25 points left for his planets before taking enemies.

Now possibly you simply don't have to have a liege at all, that makes little sense to me because you might as well delete the entire option, your liege lord is a point-sink who does nothing so why would anybody ever take a liege if they're optional? But if you can cut the idiot above you out you free up a lot of points and Dukes become playable, albeit still not as good a choice.

Hmm, I mean Baron is the lowest so you would be the weakest normally. Also it's not in the CYOA itself, but it would probably make more sense if they stated that if you pick a high rank like Margrave or Duke you will have vassals who can bolster your forces, at least that would make sense in universe. Since as a duke you have a choice of one of two nebulas as your domain, and Nebulas ARE big there could be hundreds of solar systems inside one. Maybe the choices you pick are your own personal demense that you control, but you have vassals for the rest of the nebula. As for why someone would want a overlord, maybe protection? I mean if you are attacked you can ask for the help from Star Princess Thea. Still it makes more sense for them to be giving you points for selecting one of them as your leader in exchange for giving up independance, otherwise it feels too much like paying protection money and less the ideal feudal contract experience.

Alright let's do this, you found a nice one Bear.

Halfbreed Vampire
I'm good at Dark Arts I want to learn the killing curse, either that or the torture one. Fuck it both.
For boons I already have war wizard insticts because of the vampire thing
I will take wealth twice so I never have to work(2)
And why not be attractive?(1)
Felix Felicis(2) Luck always go for luck.
Magical tome. Ha the most overpowered option Elder Want(3)
Animagus I guess since turning into a wolf or dog is pretty cool.(1)
Drawbacks:
I'll take a rival and go up against them till I win or we become friends,
The library is already a maze so I may as well take it.
Competent teachers will help more of a boon than a curse so I can get help learning magic.
Yandere does not sound so bad. Do we pick who our stalker is? Could we pick a cannon character that won't show up till we are in our teen years like Fleur?
No talent for divination since that was useless unless you were Dumbledore anyway. That gives 2 points instead of one neat!
Nobody believes you with 1 point is how it would realistically go, I mean if someone told you that they are from an alternate universe where this is a book and movie series you won't take them seriously.
Pet:
I choose owl it can deliver messages.
Wand made out of ebony for self defense purposes, and a core of dragon heartstring for power, I don't expect to let others have my want otherwise I'm already fucked.
And I'll stick with Hogwarts since I know it already.

Just for the lulz, and because I have a thing for randomly rolling for characters, I went with a build that rolled every single option, even the ones that aren't supposed to be rolled, and used random generators to pick out the ones that couldn't be rolled.

3, Half-Breed. Hmm, not sure I like where this is going.

1,4 I'm especially good at enchanting.

9,11,13 Animagus, Portals, and AU-Crossover. 'Kay.

Using Seventh Sanctum's random crossover generator and just going to replace the second half of the first option with Harry Potter.

...We're crossing over with Darkwing Duck.

As I can "Make up my own race" I used a random race generator at Seventh Sanctum.

Here's the first race it spit out:

The race of Pixies. They are an all-female race. They are extremely kind. Their government is a plutocracy. A great destiny awaits them, yet they know it not.

Apparently I'm descended from anti-goblins.

And for fun, the first two runner's up it spit out because these are hilarious. If I hadn't resolved to take the first one it generated both would be amusing.

The race of evolved Basilisks. They are naturally good at trap-setting. They are noted for their postal system and ships. They worship a matriarchial pantheon of gods and goddesses. The goddess of birth is especially important to them. They came from another dimension.

The race of humans. They are white-skinned, fair-haired, and have warmly-colored eyes. They have six legs. In their culture, every person is expected to be good at surgery. They worship a single hermaphroditic deity. Most religious observation is personal and intimate. Their government is a dictatorship. They are a magical mutation of another race.

Six. Legged. Humans.

Drawbacks 16, 8, 7

Afflicted, cointoss for Vampire of Werewolf (I'm... a vampire pixie?)

Goblin Target (Makes sense with pixies being a plutocracy that's likely their competition.)

Dark Wizard Target (Well %&*@.)

This nets 5 points worth of more boons though I rolled up one double earlier, so net 4, back to the dice.

15 Animal Tongue

1 Metamorphagus

20 Transfer Student

Rolled on the randomlists random animal generator. It seems I can speak to camels.

Rolling for transfer school

1, Beauxbatons Well, that school gives a general impression of being friendlier to halfbreeds so that's good. Durmstrang probably would have sucked.

Pet: I can only take the basics since I didn't roll up the right classes. Got 3, a Toad.

Wand, 4 and 3, Holly and Phoenix feather. Um.....
So putting it all together, I'm a vampiric human/pixie hybrid attending Beauxbatons. Pixies are all-female, very kind, have a great destiny awaiting them, and apparently they're super-capitalists. Goblins and dark lords hate me on sight. I can speak with camels and have a holly and phoenix feather wand much like Harry's. I'm a metamorphagus (the better to avoid goblins and dark lords), good at enchanting and charms, and will be able to generate portals out of this madhouse eventually. I have a toad familiar. The world is crossed over with Darkwing Duck.

I'm pretty sure this character ticks, like, 80% of most Mary-Sue checklists.

Vs 1.1 of the Drow CYOA is ready.

Changes:
A few formatting changes to make it more consistent, number of fonts used reduced.
Number of Fragments raised slightly.
Colors and pictures adjusted to be easier to read.
Wording refined on some options to make meaning more clear, rolling "Free Male" no longer invalidates house size choice.
No longer completely hosed by a bad roll in selecting rank.
Price of Artifacts slightly reduced and advantages increased for balance reasons.
Disadvantages generally weakened to be less troublesome and able to be removed over time with effort.
Fifth page added with potential outcomes and plot hooks, as well as thanks for people who gave advice and proofreading.

Gender:
Female Drow

House Size:
Small Household
> I chose a small house size. Moderate seemed interesting but I like the idea of a small community to start off from. More potential I feel even if in a backstabby world since I'm terrible at literal cutthroat politicking and schemery.

Position:
Ignoble Female (3 on 1d6)
> I'm down with being Ignoble. Makes sense I feel thematically considering my mystical origin story as well. Just some random noble girl trash that happens to have noble relations. Lucky ol' me. And plays well with trying to not be noticed or wanting to invest too much in the Drow literal cloak and dagger byzantine politics.

City:
Major Port: Mixed Race City (1 on 1d8)
> I feel like I lucked out here. Should be plenty of roleplaying opportunities for one already out of place such as myself.

Artifacts: (1 on 1d10)
Oathblade (7 on 1d10)
Tenser's Goblet (9 on 10)
> I thought I lucked out on this rolling a ten the first time around and was hoping no one would think I'm BS'ing this roll. I think it is a pair of nice artifacts. The Oathblade is definitely appropriate for an Elf and offers appropriate plot stuff with the blood offerings and the benefits and drawbacks contained within. Tenser's Goblet seems like a decent enough artifact for a petty noble as well and reading it, I can think of a lot of potential when it comes to this.

Advantages: 4 and 10 on 1d12)
Powerful Bloodline (4 on 1d12)
Paragon (10 on 1d12)
> The Powerful Bloodline actually works pretty well considering the origin story and the mystical implications of it all and the fact I'm ignoble. Maybe out of the bloodline because I'm the progeny of some wacky powerful Fiend or Vampire would make sense for the nobility of the blood being intact but still out of the family. It also helps explain the next advantage I have of being a paragon. God... I could... actually do without that but... I suppose already being so un-Drowlike I need something extra so I can feel smug and superior like a Drow Female Noble should, even if it's antithetical to me personally. Gotta play the ROLE that was forced on me! Still a boon and a curse for sure.

Disadvantages:
Potent Magic (8 on 1d12)
> Well... my body being useful components I guess makes sense considering the advantages I have so... wait I wake up with missing hair? WTH sisters?! Hoo boy, this is going to be an interesting plot device.

Allies: (9, 13 and 10 on a 1d20)
Jessalyn (13 on 1d20)
> She looks like an unconventional Drider but I dig her being a fighter and excitable and martial and full of bestial fury and energy. I think we could work together. We're both embodiments of physical action I feel and that would be very complimentary. Plus both sort of outcasts and obviously out of the mainstream of Drow Society. Good companion. Makes sense.
Telzandra (10 on 1d20)
> I mean she's wild and a free spirit and thankfully Chaotic Neutral so more compatible then actual evil types so that's good but maybe she's a bit too random for me. But at least I can take her in small quantities, like a recurring guest star in my life and maybe I can bail her out of trouble a few times. She's be another good battle companion but I don't think she'll help me substantially beyond the immediate adventures themselves besides providing good company to Jessalyn and myself. Which is fine.
Lukkt (9 on 1d20)
> Ehhhh we don't really have much in common but if he's a self made Male Drow and clever then he clearly can assist me in navigating the world of byzantine Drow politics and backstabbery. I'm sure we could get along, but not many of his adjectives seem compelling to me on a friendship level. But better then actual evil bastards I suppose. So yeah, I'll work on maintaining this friendship if only for the betterment of all of us involved. We got stuff in common after all. Plus from the nature of it, seems like someone I can deal with as needbe for the most part.

'Tis odd. I've gone ahead and fixed it.

Enemies are rolled on the same table as allies, the last page is plot hooks and potential ways home or adventures you can go on depending on how your rolls worked out.

I really need to finish the DLC for this I've had bouncing around my hard drive for months.

Yeah, this one was my own work. I actually started two DLCs, one is "Drow in Space" where you get a Spelljammer and then wind up getting lost. It's a set of crossovers where you visit other sci-fi universes finding your way home. The second is "Urban Drow" where Kiaransalee runs out of power before you get all the way to the Forgotten realms, and wind up landing in a modern day Urban Fantasy world.

In both cases I never could get my artifact sections to work and I'm too OCD not to have them add up to a specific set of dice.

While throwing out my work might as well revisit this old shame. Star Wars Spacemusu CYOA, a crossover between Star Wars and Kantai Collection. It was my first try at making a CYOA.

This one's pretty flawed, I didn't get the points balanced the way I wanted and it's not really equipped with much in the way of fanciness. It's also possible to randomly generate the extremely weird condition of starting on Coruscant but also being unable to find any civilization.

Many people on Spacebattles were offended that they could roll up a repair yard or transport when I... really didn't see the issue given even a light transport Shipgirl (and you couldn't get something that small, the table for them was if you wanted a pet following you around) should be strong and tough enough to pull off Darth Vader's head like popping a champagne cork. Apparently they felt they should only be able to roll large, high-end combat ships and were unhappy I didn't include an option to play the Death Star, which I felt was to over-the-top. The option to play in different time periods also wasn't popular, everybody wanted Ahsoka for an admiral.

> Well... my body being useful components I guess makes sense considering the advantages I have so... wait I wake up with missing hair?

Enemies:
Makanira (4 on 1d20)
> My greatest enemy is a Circus Performer. I mean... I guess that would be quite the enemy to fight, what with all of the menagerie and weirdness a Circus of a fantasy realm could contain within but, not exactly something I feel like I should be dedicated my Drow Life to destroying. I don't really have anything against Makanira or her business practices I feel. Alas... I guess I will have to learn to nurture this irrational hatred of her like a good Drowess.

Events:
>Planar Adventure: Sadly not applicable.
>Industrial Revolutionary: I have Lukkt but I don't feel like being introduced to an adventure with him as the NPC vehicle leading me to this... interesting but for me ultimately ambivalent adventure. Just not my thing I guess. And Lukkt is less so. Plus Industry? What are we... Gnomes or other Squats? :p
> Priestess Pileup: Sounds like wholesomely sapphic fun but alas, also not applicable. Probably a headache to deal with anyways.
> Potato Lord: Sonofabitch, this could've been all me.
> Halfway House: Also not applicable and nothing was lost.
> Gentleman's Club: Fuck off sausage fest.
> Illithid Invasion: Also not applicable.
> Monster Rancher: Could be mildly interesting but alas... very not applicable.
> Surface Journey: Interesting but with my small House size also risky. But considering the companions I have (and enemy I guess) it could make a lot of thematic sense. THIS IS ONE OF THE EVENTS! I will find my own potatoes amongst the bronzed bodies of the Human savages. At least I get a something.

Outcomes:
>Gone Native: Ha... as if.
> Goddess Reforged: Also not applicable which is fine with me. Fantasy theology hurts mah brain.
> Planer Family: If I ain't going to the planes, ain't need no family.
> Meet the New Boss: I wasn't cut out for the Matron game anyways.
> Drow in Space: No Umber Hulks or Giff companions, I will pass very respectfully thankyouverymuch.
> Epic Adventurer: HEY maybe this Paragon thing is going to work out after all! I can be an Epic Adventurer and that would work perfectly with the whole... Surface Journey thing. My future is so bright I gotta wear shades... like literally. Imma Drow. And ohmygosh that ending. Yes... unintentionally famous. I just lived a life of adventure and glory taking full advantage of what the dice rolls (and not the fragments) gave me. My Oathblade will had shed many a soldiers blade and my Goblet full of invigorating concoctions creatively conjured from my mind in the midst of melee.
> Ecclesiarch: Didn't spent every fragment? How about not spending ANY FRAGMENTS? I mean living amongst the Drow long enough without true familial attachment does seem rather unlikely for me to go Native and I certainly already shot down that pathway. But I guess I don't have anything against Kiaransalee and she was pretty generous in her odd dealings with me so I suppose recompensation would be something I could engage in. I mean she's still a bit too petty and vengeful for my taste. I'm more of the reform instead of slash and burn type anyhow. But it's already canon that I lived thousands of years as an epic adventurer... The more I think about it I can pull a Kelemvor or Midnight and actually dictate the terms of my ascension regardless. Sorry Boss Lady. 🤷‍♀️ I mean I feel like not using any fragments mandates having to deal with this Outcome so that's where it lies I feel.
> World Above: Well... clearly.
>War of the Gods: Whoa... Whoa... Whoa... Whoa... I mean... I'm not a fan of the Wall of the Faithless either. It seems a bit excessive for lack of belief. But I seriously don't feel like going full Pantheocide and on a Kratos style God killing spree. So thank you but no thank you. The Gods serve a broad utility in this world. If I could shatter the Wall of the Faithless independent of such things I would but... I'm guess it's a two-fer deal.
> To Even Stranger Worlds: Oh my Gond yes! I love crossovers. Lookout Combine, I'm going to singlehandedly will Half Life 3 to existence. This has barely anything to do with Drow or DnD but... it'll make me happy. I'll stop by Warhammer Fantasy first of course and spend some of my unspent fragments there.

Also I keep noticing I can bring my allies as bonuses to these places. I have twelve fragments... *goes back up* and to get Epic Adventurer I need five allies (not three... or two after Lukkt sadly perishes) if I wasn't a Paragon... which I am. Plus I already unlocked the awesome ending thanks to being Captain Drow. Might as well get a little spendy. First...

Three Fragments:
Advantage Undead Friend:
> I've been in enough DnD campaigns to know Undead are a common enough enemy in EVERY campaign. So being a friend to Undead sounds rather valuable. Also... since my lack of Planar'ing casts doubt on me having a Fiendish heritage... the other option listed was a Vampire. So that goes with that as well. Also Vampires find me alluring, which would make sense. I wonder if I'll find my in-universe Daddy and... Whoa... actually we don't go down that rabbit hole. Leave that to the imagination. *chugs some goblet wine* Moving right along...

Wait... what I really need is an Undead Ally.

1. Banshee
2. Beholder Zombie
3. Bone Naga
4. Death Knight
5. Ghast
6. Lich
7. Minotaur Skeleton
8. Mummy
9. Ogre Zombie
10. Revenant
11. Rot Troll
12. Shadow
13. Skeleton
14. Sword Wraith
15. Wight
16. Witherling (Gnoll)
17. Will O' Wisp
18. Wraith
19. Vampire
20. Zombie

I'd write some backstories for all twenty options but I've spent enough time on this already. And I get...

Two Fragments:

Rot Troll: (11 of 1d20)
> Ya know... I could've chosen the other (more) Undead troll, the Spirit Troll and it's hax abilities and put it on the list instead but no... I chose the Rot Troll for whatever reason and uhhh yeah... I can see why Kiaransalee would punish me for my hubris. I literally spent five of my leftover fragments on a Rot Troll as a companion. Maybe this is why the Circus won't have my eclectic band join them. WELL FUCK YOU! The Rot Troll is our battle brother (assuming its gender) and we will find a cure for its overwhelmingly revolting stench in addition to its many other negative troll attributes. Well... that's four allies. I just need one more.

And I think we all know the right choice here.

Two Fragments:
Ally Dana Pepperleaf:
>Gimme that Potato Lord quest Halfling! This will be the instrument of my ascension to ultimate power over the millenia. I will rise to power on the bounty of the prized Halfling Root (Vegetable).

There... what a party. I feel like I earned these outcomes now. And I still got five fragments left... what a bargain I turned out to be.

ASOIAF CYOA

You get 3 blessings and gender of choice. Thus, I'm still a guy (for reasons that will be obvious later on)

I'll use one to get the Free Cities as my place of birth, Lys to be exact. This means I am fluent in both Common and Valyrian (High and Lyseni)

I'll use the other two to get the Good old Targaryen Fire and Blood package, which means I get a dragon and instructions on how to hatch it. Will take a few years before my black and red male dragon (Bloodfyre) is combat ready (tactical size). Probably would hide in the Forest of Qohor until the dragon is ready.

This means Targaryen Blood, Animal Companion, and Touched by Magic.

Targaryen blood means I'm the great-grandson of Aerion Brightflame and grandson of Maegor Targaryen (son of Aerion) and the last Targaryen aside from Dany. And I've already survived one assassination attempt, which ties in nicely with later stuff. The Crown (iron throne) wants to kill me and I'm gathering my force for war.

Animal companion in the form of said dragon.

Touched by Magic combined with Free Cities means I get some training in illusion magic by the Qartheen sorcerers

The Curses: Wanted (because I'm a Targaryen) and Without a House (that previous assassination attempt that I barely survived)

Two curses entitles me to two blessings, which I then use one blessing to gain the Blade (excellent warrior and commander) and Tools of the Trade (high quality armor, Valyrian steel sword, and a dragonglass hatchet along with a bag of dragonglass daggers)

The other I use to gain two companions, Fylla Lightfoot (because Northern girls and a king will need a wife) and Corton Penrose (Red Priests can be useful, as demonstrated by Moqorro when he helps Victarion)

I'd probably join forces with Dany and then marry her once we retake Westeros. Lots of little Targaryens and dragon hatchlings in the years to come.

Huh, missed that one the first time around.

I don't normally meta-CYOA but for a world as utterly cursed as ASoIaF, and a CYOA as ungenerous as this one, Imma pull out the Cheater's Chest.
RErhGAW.jpg

Because I like rolling for random effects, my go-to is normally Dice of Fate but this CYOA utterly fails at giving me any dice rolls so I'll pass. Because it spells out the numbers, the magic pencil would let me edit "you get three blessings" into "you get thirteen blessings" within it's three letter limit.

However this being ASoIaF, Imma go with the Chains of Olympus. I get six blessings (suck it you seven), I'm physically twice as strong as a human of my build should be, any spells I cast have twice the power and duration for a person of my training, and all other benefits I'd get free are doubled.

@BlackDragon98 took the build I'd normally go for already (who doesn't want a dragon? Also the free cities are way better.) So I'm taking Dorne, which tends to be well-protected by it's various natural defenses and doesn't get hit much in the books. The fact that it's much warmer won't hurt when Winter comes. Staying male because @^%$ being female in a world where rape is that common.

I get two jobs free so I'll go with Blade and Coin. Buying and selling will be my primary occupation and the Blade will come into play when I meet bandits or snooty nobles who mistakenly believe they're entitled to a 100% discount on my wares. I'll expend two blessings to get Higher Education on both.

I get two gifts free and those will be Tools of the Trade for a Valyrian steel blade and Giant's Blood to be even more ridiculously strong. I'll expend three blessings to get Valar Morghulis, Touched by Magic, and Grace and Beauty.

Disadvantages: $%^& no, none of those!

The rest will go towards getting a nice mix of companions and setting up my party. I get two free companions and they will be Muwari Vaballatha and Jon Sharp. Rather than a sugar daddy Muwari will be my adviser in the trade. John Sharp will follow anybody honorable and the most honorable person in Westeros is basically average Joe by our standards so I should have no problem being the most honorable guy he's ever seen. For two additional blessings I'll take Corton Penrose to be my magical teacher and Tarrina Gargalen fits this character since I'm also from Dorne and might know her.

We'll be the officers of a merchant company and charter a ship, hauling goods between Dorne and Qarth (unless Muwari's issues prevent him from ever returning to Qarth in which case adjust our typical routes a bit) with stops in Essos and possibly even sometimes trading stuff with the Dothraki . It's not like they can possibly be operating any mines with their lifestyle so they must be getting iron for their swords from somewhere. Granted there's the question of what the heck they're selling me since they apparently have nothing but grass and horses (I mean honestly their lifestyle shouldn't be possible anyway but whatevs). I can probably get their respect via fighting prowess, with Chains of Olympus I'm twice as strong as a I should be and with higher education on The Blade I should count as at least moderately physically conditioned. Were I an average male of about 200 pounds that should put my Bench Press at around 500 pounds, for comparison Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is about 450. But I'm not average sized, I'm giant blooded, so quite likely I'm more around 1,000 pound bench press. Coupled with being a master water dancer with a a Valyrian Steel sword, I suspect I won't have a problem wowing them and convincing them I'm worthy to trade with.

Depending on the timeline, see if I can recruit Viserys and Daenerys during the period of time they were street urchins and starving before Illyrio got them. That would be significantly better for them (they won't starve as much) and me (they'll be much more appreciate and amenable) and get a superior outcome, before Illyrio poisoned Visery's mind with dreams of conquest. Potentially get them to abandon the idea of rulership and instead embrace the seafaring merchant lifestyle. With the canon truly off the rails we may never find those dragon eggs but then again we're wealthy travelling merchants with significant magical power behind us, we may find them anyway. Alternately just try to get them to embrace a saner outlook on life before getting together with Varys.

Probably have to use Valar Morghulis to kill Cersei. By itself that will probably save Westeros from a lot of it's ridiculous wars. If necessary, burn the second use on Baelish though he seems more vulnerable to regular assassination and I'll try that first. The last one try to spend on the Night King though I suspect he's beyond the abilities of a Faceless Man. Alternately if Illyrio already has Viserys and Daenerys I may have to burn a use on him to get them on board.

When visiting Dorne the Targaeryns will learn the joys of Black Walnut Hull.

So I know nothing about Kanmasu, but are the shipgirls as strong as an actual battleship, or is it scaled down?

Bear in mind Kantai Collection's canon is about as solid as a sock full of pudding. It's almost impossible not to get any fanon in it because canon is so vague, so don't take what I say as absolute gospel, I'm doing my best but the setting's just that weird.

But in essence, shipgirls are as strong as the ship they represent, their bodies are smaller but the actually strength and firepower are the same as the original ship they're the spirit of. For instance if an Iowa class shipgirl shoots another ship with the turret on her back that represents a 16" gun, said target will take damage as if it were hit by a 16" gun. They are also capable of taking damage in the same way so to actually hit and wound an Iowa class shipgirl you need to nail her with enough firepower to actually punch through an Iowa's armor belt or she'll just shrug it off. Their guns are generally shown to have the same range as the real deal as well, we see over-the-horizon shots a few times.

However they act like humans whenever it's convenient so to actually hit one, you have to hit a human-sized target and they can bend, flex, and dodge like maniacs so they have a tendency to fight each other at much closer ranges, the only time they're usually using really distant attacks is shore bombardments or attacks on fixed positions where the enemy can't ballet-dance their way in between incoming shells. Otherwise they seem to usually close to a few hundred yards.

As far as physical strength they inflict as much damage with a punch as being rammed by their ship-self would inflict. The Abyssal in this shot looks to be a Chi-Class torpedo cruiser, so not the toughest ship at sea but no human being is going to damage one with a punch. Her armor belt shatters when Nagato punches her.

It's not really clear if they have cargo holds comparable to the original ship, I don't recall cargo capacity ever coming up aside from their tendency to need to eat absolute mountains of food. Yamato eats a plate of rice that's piled higher than her head in a single sitting and apparently needs to do so several times a day, and sending her to sea skyrockets her food bill so much Japan is reluctant to deploy her due to how much rice she consumes. In the show Shipgirls mainly eat human food in great quantity, but in the manga they're more likely to do things like drink an entire barrel of oil, then eat the empty barrel.

So if you have a Star Destroyer girl, her mounted guns will hit with the same firepower as a full-sized Star Destroyer's turbolasers, and to damage her you have to first hit her with enough firepower to take down a full-sized Star Destroyer's shields (while bearing in mind you have to be accurate enough to hit a human-sized figure who's moving at the speed of a Star Destroyer). If she grabs you it will be approx. as powerful as a Star Destroyer's tractor beam (Or possibly that would be more like her picking you up with the force since I think tractor beams are ranged), and if she punches you you'll take damage around as heavy as being rammed by a full-sized Star Destroyer. She'll also launch a full complement of TIE Fighters that will be six inches long but as fast and durable as a real TIE and those will be hitting you with as much firepower as a real TIE.

So, y'know, not a fun time if you're a normal human, or even a really abnormal human.

Edit: Found a pic of Yamato having a steak which gives a halfway decent impression of how much they eat. Note that Yamato is a huge girl somewhere around seven feet tall, so that plate's probably in the area of five feet wide and I don't even want to think about where they got a steak that large. Notice also the size of her side of rice.
