Long Moscovite tradition.Somebody must be responsible for not winning war, tsar could not be,so....

This may also be Putin making Shoigu feel some consequences for the Prigozhin debacle and the arrest for corruption of people linked to Shoigu. He can't dispose of Shoigu, I think(because Shoigu is loyal). But Putin can put him on the doghouse.

Like in all militaries around the world, some quantity of corruption is expected (not desired, lol, just expected).
The difference is that during war times, the level of corruption accepted is much lower (duh).
The ones not smart enough to adapt are quicked out - if they are lucky.
Shoigu is very lucky - he is 'promoted' to a place where he can't do much damage.

He could still face accident.Or few 9mm accidents could face him....

Please give us a list!
About 40 generals died in "accidents" after he take power. And ukrainians killed maybe 6 or 7.
List - i think, that "Do Rzeczy" and "W Sieci" should have it,becouse i once read about it in both./polish central right newspapers/

Found a thread on the new position changes in the Russian Ministry.

The reasoning laid out in the thread is that Belousov, the new Defense Minister as well as three other recent appointees of non-military backgrounds, Prime Minister Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko and the Minister of Digital Development Shadaev are all part of a strategy to pursue "military innovation" to aid Russia in its struggle. These Ministers have educations in the Soviet and later Russian Academy of Sciences, with background in attempting to develop and research AI, drones, and other high tech and digital capabilities domestically and which Russia is apparently very behind on as these high tech industries still require large amounts of imports from abroad even with the sanctions ongoing.

Well, they have good ideas...but it is rather hard to order people to start thinking and innovate, when in the same time you want them to remain cogs in the machine.
