Was supposed to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine today but of course, two days earlier the United States decided to stop distributing the Johnson & Johnson vaccine because of the extremely rare case of blood clots or whatever. No alternative was available.

Got the Pfizer shots five and two weeks ago respectively. Other than being slightly tired the day after due to each one (possibly due to a reaction, possibly just my allergies), no issues.

I know people have gotten knocked on their asses after the second Moderna shot, and one coworker’s mother had a bad reaction to the Pfizer jab, but other than that, seems smooth enough.

Another coworker and his wife did get COVID and were out of sorts for several weeks after -bad flu and all, but the lingering effects seem to persist for a few months. So between that and being asthmatic, I figured the vaccine was worth the risk.

So I am showing multiple symptoms. Waiting for my test appointment now.
I have a headache. Sore throat. Chills. Fatigue. Body ache. And I think the nose is starting to run.
Let's see what happens everyone. Will the soldier die or come out alive

There's something like a 70% chance this will be like a bad cold that is over in a few days, with possibly a loss of taste or smell for a bit longer, and you won't even need anything more than over-the-counter meds to deal with symptoms, and you have a 99.9% chance of surviving even if it does get bad enough to require a hospital stay. It could also very well be a regular flu. So here's hoping.

It feels like the damn regular flu, just a little bit worse. Like it is the flu, but a little more fatigue

Given the way the world is right now, mental fatigue is commonplace even with normal flu, so it could be that. Or as pointed out it could be one of the myriad of standard flu types that you've never had.

Its a semi-blessing that I've been indoors most of the time, for the last ten years or so, between Jan and March I end up with a two week flu, nothing this year.

I won't be getting the vaccine due to orders from a higher powers...(My parents)

That, and I think the whole ordeal is more than it's worth, if I get Covid and die, so be it.

Ok I have to ask, why do they get a say whether or not you get the jab or not?
They don't. The above comment is mostly sarcastic. :p

Truth is I don't want the shot both as a personal preference and my parents happen to voice a similar opinion and since my workplace is making taking it optional I took the option I prefered.

Besides, I am the oldest in a big familly and a JohnBoy, through and through. I value my parents opinions highly.:)

I did wonder, I'm having it when it comes around as I don't want to risk my family and each of them has already been exposed but without actually being infected hence the jab.

Two of my close friends survived COVID. They said symptoms were comparable to severe flu, only dragged out for about a month; not life threatening, but very, very nasty even with generous sick leave so they weren't in financial trouble.

I just got my scheduling e-mail for the vaccine.

Both my mom and I got it back in January, not the most pleasant experience tbh, my mother still doesn’t have any sense of taste.
We had the unfortunate experience of knowing someone who had a bad case of it, and it certainly was something, didn’t die from it, but kind of wished he did in the moment....

Colds and flus have always hung on to me for a long time. One time I got pneumonia from a flu, so I was sick for a couple of months.

I'm on a waiting list since I'm categorized as a Type 2 priority by our weird and effed up waiting system (job-related) and have been registered four about four weeks + now. I don't really expect to get my first shot before the end of May, though, since I know how incompetent the people responsible for organizing it are.

Dear all the people that don't have side effects,

I hate you! I hate you with a burning passion. I hate you so much! I hope a little asteroid crashes into your little world, and I hope there isn't a little Bruce Willis to save you. I hate you.

PS This includes my husband. Damn super Ayran Captain America genes or whatever. 🤬🤮😭
