Fuck you Biden; this is because that district voted in Boebert, who has been a continuous thorn in Pelosi's and Biden's side.

There is hardly any BLM land east of the Mississippi; no reason the headquarters for the agency needs to be in DC.

My understanding is because no one wants to move to Montana from DC so they lost a good chunk of their staff.

Darn? I mean...shucks...a lot of the admin in a federal bureaucracy would have gone away.
Grand Junction is major town on I-70 in western Colorado, close to the Utah border, not in Montana.

Making the bureaucrats live in a less cushy place, without the glamor and glitz of high society, was kind of the point.

It's not a good thing if the people holding authority over the use of the land, are about as distantly removed as a social class as possible, from the social class of the people who use the land.

Exactly. That one bomb that killed 10, probably caused 1000 more terrorists to exist.

I know I would hate and want to kill the country that murdered my family in the streets.
More accurately, it blows a massive hole in the default current PR strategy assumed by western governments, which for many hurts more than any terrorists created really.

As for creating terrorists, that's more of an indirect implication with a lot of assumptions inside.
For comparison, Assad blew up civilians on a completely different scale, yet instead of drowning in newly created terrorists, he won the civil war instead.
However his government's support structure, strategy, PR and reaction to such events are completely different.

Is this Zimbabwe but more grandiose with precious metal coins?
No. This has been floated before.

It would be the Treasury exploiting a loophole so the bills could still be payed on time after Congress told them to stop borrowing money. It would also be Congress' fault because they tell the Treasury how much to spend and on what.

Biden's Treasury Department wishes to track financial transactions of any bank accounts above $600 in fair market value.

Foundation for Economic Education said:
The Biden administration’s goal here is to increase tax revenue by making sure no income avoids detection. How will the administration do this? It plans to leverage financial institutions like banks.

“[T]his requirement would apply to all business and personal accounts from financial institutions,” the proposal reads, “including bank, loan, and investment accounts, with the exception of accounts below a low de minimis gross flow threshold of $600 or fair market value of $600.”

In other words, financial institutions will report any flows in and out of business and personal accounts of more than $600.

This reporting requirement is far above any current requirements on financial institutions. As the document itself states, currently only information for certain types of revenue (including 1099 forms MISC, NEC, and K) require reporting.

Be right back, starting a bank that deals strictly in purely physical materials that are distinctly not money.
