    A rather simple filter can be made with clean gravel on top of sand with a layer of charcoal under the sand. That should remove a good number of pollutants in the water.

    Here is a strange question but...where are the clothes coming from? The Pre war stocks should have been destroyed, used, or wrecked after 200 years. The only material left is leather.
