Gentlemen, the thread topic here is pornography, it's impact on society, legal status, why that legal status should/should not change, etc. You are drifting seriously off topic and some of the last few posts are close to if not past the limits of acceptable conduct. Knock it off.

The mainstream porn industry is horrible, but that's not why. Child porn shows up on pornhub for the reason it shows up on facebook and youtube, people are uploading content faster than the site can review and moderate it and inevitably something will slip through the cracks.

There's probably a way (there already is some limit, since you have to pinky swear you're 18 when you visit porn sites, but don't have to do that elsewhere), the issue is theres no will. I'm not sure they would really be motivated to fight this. They'd be going from either having thier content...

I'm not entirely sold on the viability of operation "back to the 90s" and its attempt to ban all porn that's not behind a paywall, but he's right in that it's probably more politically viable than a total ban. I just don't know if it's viable enough to actually pass.
