You're not looking in the right places, or you need to adjust your expectations. You're not going to see some conservative billionaire fund his own hollywood blockbuster franchise or anything. People are writing non-woke stories such as David V. Stewart, Brian Niemeier. You can also look to...

It's literally cable TV all over again. "Pay a monthly subscription to gain access to channels with no advertisements!" "Oh, we're implementing adverts to your monthly subscription service anyway!"

Hard disagree. The show is way too decompressed. Too many filler scenes of people standing around and talking like they're in just another Western live-action show, rather than making the screen time count with actual plot progressing stuff happening. We didn't need scenes of Victor going to sit...

Not really. The only other decent fantasy 3D CGI shows are Clone Wars and RWBY, but RWBY went downhill after season 3 (first 3 seasons are still worth watching, IMO). If you want good animated shows, then 2D anime is the way to go.

First 3 episodes are decent. Maybe watch them if you want a movie. After episode 3, don't bother. It became cynical and nihilistic, pacing too slow, unlikeable characters, etc. And yes, it is woke.

The target audience isn't Powerpuff Girls fans. Hollywood just wants to use the brand name recognition to bring in more of the masses. Most people who go see reboots films like the new Robocop or the 2009 Star Trek or whatever, never actually saw the originals. It's just that Robocop and Star...

I haven't seen any really good Asian genre film shows or TV. Chinese Xianxia TV shows like Ice Fantasy, which.. well, they try. But the CGI and costumes look fake. (EDIT: just remembered that there is a new Xianxia show called Untamed. Dunno about that one. Will have to check it out). Korea...

So Snyder did a charity livestream and called out Geeks & Gamers. I wouldn't consider G&G a "hate group" in the usual sense, but he is sorta right. You have all of these channels - Overlord DVD, Midnight's Edge, G&G, the Quartering, YellowFlash, ThatUmbrellaGuy, Anti-Trekker, etc - that are...

The only decent LotR products (besides the books, ofcourse) are John Howe's illustrations, the two Rankin Bass animated films, and Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring, and the latter has significant issues. And I guess maybe LotRO (if you can tolerate how dated it is and the business model)...

People miss the point about why Romans wrote about Emperor Nero marrying a man. They didn't write it because they accepted it. They wrote it because it was considered depraved. They wrote it because it was one more thing that made Nero unpopular and disgusting to the populace. He was hated by...
