Again, not everyone is as hooked into politics as we are. Most aren't. All they think about politics is contempt for Trump, and think Biden's a moron. But better a moron than someone awful. But they'd cheerfully vote DeSantis over Biden.

Look, what people fail to realize is that Biden is considered incredibly safe because he is a moron. That's how he won the primary: he didn't seem to be a radical, he was just dumb. Given the lesser of two evils, people will choose dumb over evil everytime. But give them any other option but Trump, and suddenly it becomes competent non-evil vs dumb, and competent non evil will win.
What makes you think they'll know who DeSantis is, beyond what the media tells them? Because if they're that willfully ignorant, that they can't even use their own eyes to look around them and see how two years of Biden has made their own lives demonstrably worse than the previous fours years under Trump, then there is no prying them away from the influence of mainstream media propaganda; no matter how weakened they've become.

Ben Shapiro is closer to the mindset of most of the US than most GOP media personalities, and whether he's a neocon or not, doesn't mean he's wrong about what the wider US populace wants or why the GOP so badly underpreformed.
Ben Shapiro is a consummate liar and servant of the establishment, no better than anyone you'd find over on CNN or MSNBC. The only difference is that his role is to be controlled opposition.

I consider modern Kansas to be a red-leaning (hence the state legislature and Senate results) but still purpler state than, say, Oklahoma - having had about as many Democratic governors since ~1990 as Republicans (4 including the incumbent, compared to only half as many Dems as Republicans in the same timeframe in OK's case). So it would definitely fall under the same umbrella as North Carolina, which I mentioned.

A lot of Republican seats were up this cycle, 21 which they had to defend compared to 14 Democratic seats IIRC. Compare the amounts of red & blue on the 2022 map to 2018 and 2024 for example, two cycles which I consider to be more favorable to the GOP.
I see.

Oh, in terms of there being a lot of relatively vulnerable Senate seats up for election, I absolutely agree. So kind of a "good weather, bad terrain" situation for the Republicans.

The GOP needs someone with Trump's populist politics, but not Trump's ego or pettiness; the America First movement must be able to move past Trump and become bigger than Trump, if it is to truly turn back the Dems insanity.
Or mouth, there is a fine line between telling a brutal truth than needs to be spoken regardless of it being un-politically correct and just vomiting out whatever comes to mind in a relatively pointless and unapologetic way when it's unnecessary.

Trump lacks tact or any awareness of the situations or traps he often could have easily avoided had he looked for it.

Whatever alternate leader might arise will be attacked just as vociferously as Trump was attacked, even worse.

If anything, his boorishness and lack of filter blocked a few of the standard dirty tricks established politicians fall for, the type the leftoids love to pull.

I don't care if they attack all the same, just because they will doesn't make it an obligation to live up to their expectations or make the situation worse by saying the wrong shit pointlessly for no gain. Winning elections isn't about pissing off the media by spewing endless bullshit to tick them off, it's about getting people to vote for you.

If it comes down to Biden versus someone like Mitt Romney or Ted Cruz in 2024, I'm just not going to vote. There'd be no point; all of them serve the same establishment, and we'd be screwed regardless of who wins.

Respectively Terthna, with your constant gloom and doom and blackpiling? Would you have ever been inclined to vote to begin with??

Look, Scott Adams has spoken extensively on how Trump uses various tricks to fuck with his enemies and get people to look at stuff in a certain way.

Personally I think thar a decent amount of his hot takes are intentional and also making the media unhinged forces it to go nuts and delegitimise itself.

Also, you can not please all the people all the time, the obsession with muh inclusion was what got us to this shit show run by special snowflakes, furries and otherkin in the first place.

A vote for a party insider is a wasted vote. To be fair..

Suddenly things make a lot more sense.

>Neocons and Uniparty tards

>Getting in bed with another Nixon

Look Scott Adams can blow it out of his ass. Riling up your supporters doesn't win elections it only puts a fire on a base that's already cooked to vote R regardless. Fact.

We need a leader who isn't afraid to tell the media to shove it but also will close their mouth as needed so they don't make a fool of themselves needlessly.

In all honesty your response is basically that because the left is being overtly politically correct or redefining the definition of what that is we should just ignore any and all civility or tact and plow forwards regardless of how truly offensive or alienating it is and while that bull may fly in Bulgaria, I can definitely say we have had shit to show for it here.

I am tired of having a president who has some good ideas but who's competence level is so low he fails in every sense of the word in the phase of drafting their intricacies, to getting them passed into law, to keeping them in law and meanwhile having failed despite having every power in congress and the White House to get the job fucking done.

We are literally only superficially better six years on after Trump was elected and that isn't a good sign, economy and slowing immigration may have occurred but only barely on a superficial level not on the systematic which Trump made little if any progress upon.

This isn't to strictly to disparage Trump however he did break the wheel, but he lacks the skill, tact or general visionary direction to forge it into something better which I think someone like Desantis may bring to the table or better yet a politician whom we haven't yet seen.

I don't see how anyone can think that DeSantis is part of the establishment. He has struck against the Democrats at every opportunity and turned Florida into a bastion of conservative populist values. A lot of the actual establishment still hates DeSantis, remember how Cheney and Kitzinger sneered that DeSantis was just as evil as Trump as well as all those attacks by the media painting him as a fascist dictator.

Every action DeSantis has taken has been to advance populist conservative goals. And I'm going to need a lot more than speculation to convince me he's dirty somehow.

Also, using the term "establishment" as a cheap insult rather than as a descriptor debases the word of meaning. Within a few years I can easily see the word "establishment" becoming as meaningless as the words "racist" or "fascist" have become.
