Uhh... OK, while I do think there's some truth to the "uniparty" idea, this quote from McConnel isn't actually one that supports the idea. Remember: a lot of the Trump backed candidates whom won their primaries were financially backed by the Democrats in the primaries, who appears to have correctly judged that those candidates would be easier to beat. As such, McConnell wishing for greater party control over things to field stronger candidates that are not trojan horses is to a degree understandable given the level of dirty politics the Dems appear to be playing at these days with the enabling of the media (an honest media would have DESTROYED the Democrats for this, as their rhetoric and their spending were clearly in conflict, but no, they enabled it... of course).
So yeah, this ain't really evidence of the uniparty idea... especially not compared to the other shit McConnell has done in the lame duck session to sell out conservatives.
It's the language he's using more than anything, greater party control = more Rino control given whose running it.

Except for the fact the 115th Congress had 246 GOP House members, 54 Republican Senators and during his tenure, Trump appointed three SCOTUS judges, a full third of the sitting court. If we're going with the idea the Establishment prevented him from doing anything, please explain how he got those three judges appointed and his tax bill passed. Further, if we take your argument at face value, explain to me why any of us should vote for him again if he's too weak to do anything? Your explanation presents him as a coward, not a hero.

The reason why they attack us, is because we are over there doing this horrific shit. This idea that somehow the US is innocent is just dumb. The US being there is exactly what harms our security. Going to Iraq and Afghanistan just made more terrorists and more frequent terrorist attacks. Supporting the 'moderate rebels' (frequently ISIS) in Syria caused the migrants to flood Europe. The same is true here: nothing good comes of this.

It's not the US being there that is causng problems, it's that Saudi Arabia and Iran really hate each other, regardless of our presence, because of the Shia-Sunni split.
I know geo-politics isn't the strong suit of AnCaps, but I would have hoped at least basic geography and understanding of geostrategic choke-points might have made it through the wall of NAP-worship and AnCap fantasies.

Seriously, outside of this being a great reason why relying on overseas trade is a bad idea and that we need to bring industry back to America, I fail to see why the USA should involve ourselves in more overseas squabbling.
In fact, I more then half suspect the reason why the US’s political establishment is so determined to undermine US industry is that it gives them an excuse to get involved overseas and get money from the military-industrial complex and so on by ensuring the USA feels it needs to get involved in foreign wars and keep up its global empire.

The world's economy is dependent on unfettered access to both the Panama Canal and the Suez Canal. Close off or threaten even one with long term closure, and the cost of everything goes up if ships are forces to go around the tips of Africa and South America again.
Even the Pharoahs built their own system of canals to connect the Med and Red Sea, because they knew how vital that link is.
The Houthi's have already shown they will fire IRBMs into Saudi Arabia and launch anti-shipping missiles at US and allied ships years ago. They've stuck limpet mines on tankers and cargo ships throughout the region, and did you forget that time Iran grabbed a bunch of US service members in the Gulf and forced us to do a prisoner swap for them.
If the Houthi's control all of Yemen, they can launch IRBMs at the Suez Canal and Egypt pretty easily, along with effectively closing off the Red Sea to all non-Iranian friendly sea traffic. As well, they could then launch even more attacks into Saudi Arabia if they had complete control of Yemen, and be a threat to a lot of maritime traffic in the Eastern Indian ocean as well. Turns out a lot of our Asian allies have vital trade links in the region, and it is no less vital to many of our European allies.
It's like some people here have forgotten how much our modern world and modern economies is predicated on the Suez Canal existing in an open and unimpeded state, and how much the gear the Houthi's have can threaten that.
The US pulling out of the war in Yemen will not do anything but make it easier for the Houthi's and Iran to threaten even more people and international trade.
We haven't forgotten, we are saying we never should have been dependent on those barbarians and their canal in the first place. And it's a good thing that it gets cut off because now we have an excuse to begin reorienting economies in the Americas to be reliant on no one outside of our hemisphere.
