i thought the cui was a sock puppet emperor controlled by the yangban?

The problem is any Information on the the CUI is always going to be speculative heck I had my own theory that whoever the emperor is plays the internal factions off against each other to keep an Iron grip on power.

Heck the whole thing could be simple or down right Byzantine or North Korean for all we know. Information on this group is thin on the ground and poorly developed as with a good deal of other stuff with wildbow.

I feel like I get way too excited whenever I see this thread updated. Jokes aside, really happy to see this up again.

I wasn’t completely sold on starting so early in the worm timeline, but I’m really enjoying it. Love to see the difference we can bring to the setting before things become too dystopian! I find myself looking forward to Shirou’s impact in the development of technology, cooking and general parahuman law/behaviour more than the upcoming fights.

On the ongoing story itself: I feel like the next few months are really going to set the tone for the situation with parahumans in England... then again I feel like things can go to hell on the roll of a dice so....

I'd say just reroll the fucking dice and get on with it, but that doesn't seem to be an option he'll consider.
Having QM'd stuff in the past, I kinda get his stance. Once you start fudging/rerolling dice to get them to fit the ideas you already have in mind for the narrative, there's no stopping. At which point you may as well not roll them and pick whatever numbers you want to show to the players.

Not saying it doesn't fit the Narrative, I think it would only work if someone acts completely out of character. For example say the relationship roll is a complete crit fail from out of no where and everything else is fine. How do you get the two of them to tear into each other without being completely out of character?

It would help if we knew what the problem is instead of guessing at possible problems and solutions.
