Whoever did this is a complete idiot. Hiding the bells won't help, those cats are going to go outside and find their own bells and bring them inside. They're going to be hearing bells for the rest of their life, including at 2:00AM when the cats wake up and pull a hidden bell out. I do like the brown cat trying to ring both bells at once though.

I'm just amazed that A: You can train cats to ring a bell
B: Cats have handedness just like Humans do
C: They're only ringing the bell once, instead of wailing on it until their treats are delivered.

Handedness is actually something almost all animals have. From the studies I've read, rather than the advantage ambidexterity is in games, it's actually a weakness in surviving. Having a dominant preference side means that when you need to move reflexively, your body automatically goes in that direction instead of pausing to decide which way is better. The fraction of a second this saves can be a lifesaver when a big predator is pouncing at you.

A sheep named Baarack was found in a forested area near Melbourne, Australia, weighed down by over 75 pounds of wool it had accumulated and called a local animal rescue and sanctuary organization to... rescue and provide sanctuary to said sheep. They also gave him a proper shearing. Seventy eight pounds of wool was sheared off, still shy of the world record of ninty pounds and now after a period of rest, Baarack will undoubtedly look as adorable as the other sheep pictured in the article.
