Army TRADOC is the strictest of the the military. Apperently it has only been like this for a couple years now. We think the time my drill sergeants were in tradoc is why the rules got stricter

Man, military life from what I've heard of it through net denizens and stuff like this just sounds like there's so much boredom and waiting.
Also...'Health and wellness check'? The military sounds more like a dorm-proctor than a military, sometimes. Lol

Anyhow, my contribution: months ago was scheduled to dance at this joint on what happened to be April Fool's Day--a fact I didn't bother to pay any attention to, of course. Place is decently busy, I go up to do my set, and everything's hunky-dory for a bit. Maybe halfway through the music skips and stutters before cutting-out entirely. Dead silence for a few seconds before the DJ cackles out something, yells an 'April Fools!' towards me, and puts the fricken macarena on. I have never simultaneously thought someone was both so clever and so deserving of a good strangling.

TRADOC is more than just Basic and the entry level Command And General Staff College and the War College both fall under TRADOC as well.

TRADOC is more than just Basic and the entry level Command And General Staff College and the War College both fall under TRADOC as well.

IET TRADOC for the army is the strictest of all the branches. USAF are the softest and least strict. They dont have very any formations. Can go off base pretty early on. Can stay overnight off base. Can go all the way to san Antonio and other major cities. Can have relations and alcohol.
Even the marines arnt as strict as the army.
It is true SHARP incidents have gone down since TRADOC included the no alcohol. They also have no vaping allowed either.

Don't worry, I am here to promise you that the entire rest of your existence in Army will feature every single sin of civilian powerpoint you can imagine being taught to you as a virtue.

You will soon be given 2-hr no notice deadlines that have flowed downhill three times to put together quad-charts with two tiny pictures and something like 1000 words crammed onto them as a giant wall of text which has to meet a 1/10 buzzword or new acronym or better yet backronym ratio. You will be doing this based on a template of a previous quad chart talking about another subject, and the greatest threat you face will be, in your haste, accidentally leaving the original contact information or title on the slide, which the person you are preparing for will, of course, use without reviewing or checking.

P.S. High ranking people will make their chop/no-chop decision based on staring at this abomination for a period of less than five minutes.

But I can't think up new comedy material that quickly, so...

I could fill this board with NSFW work stories (and isn't THAT some irony!) until they blotted out the sun server's capacity! But that would be too easy.

In actual work-related anecdotal...news? After camping it up on previous days, spent today helping a friend clean out an old, mouse-infested shed on their property. Said friend is...not the most handy, but she always makes a good effort of it and is generally good people, so I don't mind. So we get a bunch of cleaner, put on tyvec suits and respirators and the whole she-bang because screw hanta virus, and wade into things, and not two minutes in she spots a live mouse in a bucket she picked up and *shrieks*, drops it on the ground, and runs screaming from the shed (very quickly for being in a bodysuit, I think) like she was the two-bit hysterical woman in a Tom & Jerry cartoon.

Only found one more live one the rest of the day, but she insisted I be the one to 'handle' both out of her sight. Her excuse was she hadn't expected to find any *live* mice in there after she'd spent the last few weeks tossing poison in, and I had to explain to her that that's just not how it works. Were able to yuck it up afterwards, though, and now I have something to needle her about at party's. So, really, I came out ahead on things.

So we have an upcoming company event with a live performance from the most popular singer in Israel, a huge Israeli celebrity. I don't even want to know how much the company is paying for this.

Problem is, I can't STAND his genre.

I mean, it's better than what I had to go through a couple days ago. We had a mandatory meeting-- something about going over the rules for some of the new guys-- and one of the older employees dressed up in a shark onesie. He then was surrounded by a bunch of the other employees who then stated the rules in a most ridiculous fashion. One by one they would yell the rules, the older man would act out what not to do, and they would all scream NO at him. I think it traumatized one of the new girls.

Drill Sergeant's either have something out for me or do not want me phased up as I had my ASUs perfect for the phase up inspection and they still said something was wrong.
The last damn thing I have to do and I failed it. 4 weeks of turning them in every time they always fucking fail.
I also have no civilians that would be allowed for a thing the AFB I am on is doing so I will be in my OCP ACUs while a lot of people are in civilian clothes.
This week has been going good until today.
Good thing the Gym here has a punching bag. Need to let anger out without leaving a hole or breaking my fist.

Honestly most of the time I think if they could our Drill Sergeants would give us harder PT then the marines.

I am just pissed I cant pass my ASUs to phase up. I want to start a hobby...I cant do that till I can phase up.
I cant wait for my first station. It would be pretty nice especially where I am likely to end up
