Honestly, the biggest takeaway that I got from this podcast is that McConnell's emphasis on filling up lifetime court appointments over actually getting bills passed is a pretty 4D chess move.

Also, man, I dunno if he just wasn't great at putting out a convincing argument, but it's pretty bad that until the Kavanaugh shitstorm, no Republican women cared about being on the Judiciary committee.
