Anime Games REMOVED from Steam! Anime and Manga BAN Continues!

Duke Nukem

Hail to the king baby
fair point. Speaking of which, anyone know of a good non pirate anime site besides crunchy role, preferable one with the English dub of one piece?

This is a decent site you can watch anime in sub or dub

He said non-pirate site; that's a pirate streaming site.

The only place you're going to find the One Piece dub legally is on Funimation's site; they made it, they own the copyright on it. If you're looking for an decent alternative in general though, I've heard good things about HiDive; they've got a lot of classic anime the other streaming sites don't bother with, like Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Personally though? After sinking thousands of dollars and decades of my life into building a collection, driving myself mad trying to find out of print titles, attempting to ignore the fact that things like the Macross and Pretty Cure franchises will never see a legal release outside Japan, and getting downright incensed at streaming platforms for dropping shows I happen to enjoy from their service; I decided to just give up, embrace the high seas, and start building a collection on my hard drive.

Anime can survive being banned in the west. It cannot survive the west subverting it into trash. hence the mainstream hating anime is for the best. They will ban it and thus to watch it, you have to be a true anime fan and pirate. Banning it means that they will have no interest in subverting it.

The western Anime fandom was built first by people circulating VHS tape recordings amongst themselves, and then later by people downloading fansubs off of BitTorrent; it would be interesting seeing things come around full circle.

If that wave of banning means the destruction of Horrible Subs I'm all for it. Unfortunately, it probably won't happen, but I would be glad for an increase in fansubbing.

Improved machine translation, larger community meaning more with the interest in translating and voice fake programs means that if things go back to having to pirate content there should be higher quality options.

Probably more countries producing too.

And they are slowly making moves against anime.

@Hastur of Carcosa

As you can see, the west and its mainstream is cancer towards anime/manga. Better they abhor it and ban it then for it to be corrupted by these fucktards.

Yeah, saw it earlier

"Mainstream" is more about making something "palatable" or "for all" rather than simply cliche and I find that fucking insulting

It was bound to happen something like half of the sjw Avatar's I've seen are anime. I'm actually surprised it took them this long good luck saving it. Stuff's not my bag but war and strange allies right? Also ****in weebs ;)

The mainstream western anime community has been like this for years; the SJWs took it over a long time ago, and forced those of us who refuse to buy into their ideological bullhonkey underground. It's only been recently that people have tried to push back against them.

You remember Gamergate? That happened because the SJWs expected the gaming community to fall in line just as easily as the anime community did (as well as others); that they didn't came as a complete surprise.
