EDIT: EXPANDING THIS TO COVER ALL BABYLON 5 CROSSOVERS BY POPULAR DEMAND!
Once upon a time, in a forum far away Trek/B5 fanfics were a sort of fanfiction subgenre of their own, and they were quite wonderful.

Now, though, that crossover subgenre seems somewhat dormant, which is a real shame.

SO I think I will post a few old favorites as well as a few ideas I had, way back in the day.

I have very fond memories of Shadows and Dust in the Pattern , Clash of Federations , A Thin Veneer and A Universe of Change

As to fanfic ideas, well, here are a few.

1) The entire Bajoran system at some point during DS9's run gets ISOTed into the Babylon 5 galaxy.
2) A very minor power finds a wormhole to the B5verse during the Earth-Minbari war, this can even be the maquis.
3) Non-federation or Mirrorverse forces find their way to the Babylon 5 universe, it would be a one way trip.

Babylon 5 is getting a remake supposedly, so if that goes ahead.... Perhaps more Crossover or Fusion Fics will be spawned?

As to ideas.... How about....

Khan and his followers are defrosted from their hibernation on their slowboat vessel.

However there is no Federation Ship present, instead there is Earth Force/Earth Alliance, the Centauri Republic, the Narn Regime etc etc....

there was Chronicles of the Crusade. Though that one is officially dead.

...and the Khan level need to be masters of all they survey. Yup, right up the Shadow's alley.
As a certain Scottish alcoholic loves to say. "Naah, it is gonna be fine..."

there was Chronicles of the Crusade. Though that one is officially dead.
Was that the one where Babylon 5 actually overpowered Star Trek ships and there were Star Trek Shadows?

Crusade, that was a series with a lot of wasted potential IMO.

Although after a certain point in the SG timeline IMHO, SG crossovers with B5 become less interesting because of the massive power disparity.
My favourite Fic was a B5/C&C Crossover on SB, that had the Brotherhood of Nod setting up in the B5 Verse and inflicting Tiberium upon the Minbari.... ^_^
That sounds kinda interesting, and somewhat familiar, was it posted to AO3 or ff.net?

Since apparently a lot of like non ST/B5 crossovers, let us turn this into a B5 crossovers thread.

Anyway, here is an Idea, either the Destiny(ST:U) or Atlantis somehow get transported to the Babylon 5 universe around the start of the E/M War.

I don't think the Fic was posted elsewhere sadly.

I will have a hunt and post a Link though.... Found it!

Crusade is a good Series, sad that it was strangled in the Crib.

Destiny would be more interesting for a Crossover as opposed to Atlantis.

Atlantis is too OP for B5 really unless you hobble Atlantis to not have ZPM's.

I have done some thinking of what a Warframe/Babylon 5 crossover would look like. One key aspect of the story is that the Tenno must not be point of view characters.

I think for the most part, the Corpus would make a decent substitute for the EA, especially after reforms pushed by an alliance of Parvos Granum, Perrin, and the Tenno. Without video-game stasis, the Tenno would focus on breaking up the Grineer by permanently killing the Queens and assassinating key leaders. Then the Fragments of the Grineer would mostly be absorbed by Steel Meridian, Tenno aligned Kuva Liches and Kavor. However some independent Grineer remain as pirates and raiders.

Into this settling chaos stumble the Centauri, who instantly recognize that the overpopulated star system would have a high demand for FTL travel. In this timeline the Centauri do not attempt the same tricks they did OTL, instead they try and make the Origin system dependent on them for FTL travel. Leasing jumpgates and jump capable star-ships, but never selling them.

This gambit earns the Centauri great profit, but eventually falls apart. Solar rials are perfectly capable of being used for interstellar travel as long as you can get one to your intended destination. The mysterious Tenno are also adept spies and highly intelligent, thus the first hyperspace capable ships built in the Origin system would be Tenno carriers and soon after the jump drive would be produced for the Corpus by the Perin Sequence. It is assumed by many that the Tenno sold Jump Drive technology to Perin in return for help producing capital ships. Due to Tenno stealth technology, no one actually sees a completed Tenno Carrier until much later.

The Dilgar war goes much like OTL, with the Corpus taking umbrage to Dilgar attacking their trade ships. However the exact details are different due to the Corpus being much more technologically advanced than the EA, and there is a major indecent Jha'dur acquires technocyte samples from Grineer pirates, resulting in a major Tenno intervention.

The Anlo'Shock voice their growing concerns about the mysterious Tenno and the Technocyte to the Grey Council of the Mimbari. The Anlo'Shock incorrectly believe that the Technocyte is a shadow bioweapon or derivative there-of. Likewise the Tenno's stealth technology reminds them of the Shadows ability to fade in and out of hyperspace. The Anlo'Shock are able to present sufficient evidence that the
Grey Council orders a more overt investigation into the Corpus and Tenno.

What they find is confusion and contradiction. There are few who know any details about the Tenno, and the only ones who managed to survive to the point of the Mimbari's investigations are the Tenno's allies. For every praise of the Tenno as saviors, they are rumors of them being demons, monsters and betrayers. The chaos does not play well with the Mimbari's ordered mindset and occasional attacks by Grineer raiders infuriate them. Worse yet, the Vorlon take interest in the investigations of the Mimbari, they have few words for the Mimbari, only describing the Tenno as "Unknown" and the Technocyte as "Abomination".

It is the Vorlon's presence that finally draws out the Tenno to speak. It is upsetting to the Mimbari that the Tenno treat the Vorlon as equals, demanding reciprocity from the Vorlon in order to show their true face. Talks break down then the Vorlon attempt a psychic probe, and the Tenno retaliate.

The Vorlon do not commit to the resulting conflict, leaving it to their Mimbari puppets. The trust they place on the Mimbari's seniority soon is revealed to be a mistake. The Corpus are quite capable of fighting the Mimbari on an equal footing and Tenno are spotted on Mimbar in short order. There are rumors of Vorlon actions during the war, but they are unwilling to act overtly.

The Corpus see little profit in continuing the war, thus the Terms of surender offered to the Mimbari while humbling are not harsh. The Corpus not wanting further diplomatic incidents causing unprofitable wars demand the Minbari and politely request the Tenno help them construct a diplomatic station in neutral space. The Tenno respond with great enthusiasm and provide psychic dampeners and other esoteric defenses for the station.

The Tenno also seek out additional factions to send diplomats. Thus, when Babylon Relay is opened, it is greeted by a Murex, a Shadow Yatch and a Vorlon cruiser. This is also the first time any of the younger races has seen a Tenno carrier.

Quite good, but how did the Old Ones miss what was happening in the Origin system?
I mean all the weird shit the Orokin did, as well as the Sentients in Alpha Centauri?

What happened with them and the Lotus, btw?

Were the Orokin some type of Old Ones themselves, sheltering Sol from the prying eyes of the other Old Ones?

And what would the relation between The Void and Jump/Hyperspace be?

There are multiple reasons. First is that nobody in Babylon 5 has Star Trek style sensors that let you detect anomalies from multiple light years away. Even the Vorlons use stealth scout ships to keep track of everything. All of the First Ones other than than the Vorlons and Shadows are isolationist, and the exceptions do a good job of distracting each-other with their periodic conflicts. Finally the Orokin used void based tech, which is very alien. So really all the Volons knew about the Orokin empire is what you can detect with long ranged optical and radio telescopes, which is that there was enough going on in the system that it wouldn't be a good candidate for meddling.

As for the relationship between the void and hyperspace, the technologies are only similar as they are interacting with alternate dimensions. A void gate has as much similarity to the Third Space gate as it does a hyperspace gate.

I know nothing about Warframe.

However, I would question the ability of any entity in the Sol System capable of resisting and countering a Vorlon's mind muckery. At least one that's not already KNOWN by the Ancients...of which the Vorlons and Shadows number.

The Vorlons would not expect anyone other than themselves to have countermeasures to psychic powers, even the Shadows are not seen to have effective defenses to psychic attacks. However psychic powers where weaponized in the origin system, and countermeasures have been developed.

The Tenno themselves are beings of void, and their uses of transference is a complicated combination of psychic technology and their own void powers. The Void and its paradoxical nature will be new to the First Once as hyperspace was when it was first discovered. The first ones stopped looking for things like the void after the Third Space disaster.
