Well! As their icon Marx would say, history repeats itself, first as tragedy and then as farce. And this does strike me like a farcical reincarnation of CHAZ up in the mountains put together by people I sincerely hope are just grifters. Fortunately, if it's indeed purchased uninhabited territory, it seems the only possible victims of any self-proclaimed security squads (if they even manage to get that far) will be the idiots who volunteer to live there.

Ok, looking at the photo's again, I can fill in a few details about the land.
1) This land is likely somewhere near the San Miguel or Dolores Rivers in western Colorado, based on the photo with the girl in the river and the road cut/vegetation/rock outcropping visible behind her.
2) Based on the photo's of the land in the other pictures, I think the land is somewhere on the western flank of the Uncompahgre Nat'l Forest west of Montrose, CO.
3) The nearest towns to them are likely Nucla, Naturita, Norwood, or Red Vale along state highway 145. This means the group might actually have valuable stuff on their land, however said stuff would be lower-mid grade uranium ore, and I doubt they are interested in opening a uranium mine or selling to the US Gov.

I doubt any of those morons know anything about building anything. Probably someone is making all of this money and will be buying mansions using it while some morons try to live up in the mountains in tents, and maybe try to build log cabin or shelter out of fallen branches that collapses under its own weight, and try to plant a garden what would be completely unable to sustain them even if it did grow, which it won't. I honestly think some of those fools will end up at least hurt up there.
Nearest one would probably be Montrose.
The area is quite beautiful, with views of the Rockies, San Juans, La Sals, and the Book Cliffs north of Grand Junction.
I've looked at property in this area, and it's not a bad area if you want to get away from urban issues in your new CHAZ attempt. Frankly this is far from the worst location for this bit of idiocy to be attempted, if you know what you are doing.
So either it's legit and the loonies/tankies are going to become yet another cult inhabiting that area, or it's a very well put together scam.
If they are that dedicated to becoming an independent nation...well it'd be entertaining to watch, at least.

Humanity originates in Africa, ergo Africans are the first, most prolific, and most successful 'colonizers' of them all.
But these kind of idiots never let things like well documented historical fact/record get in the way of wanting to out-Marx Marx, with an added bit of black communist/supremacist ideology tossed on top.
It will be interesting to see what they do if this thing turns out not to be a giant scam.

Like I said, they do not strike me as people who could build anything for themselves, and it would cost an awful lot to haul anything out there, be it prefab or even just materials to even try to make a go of it. At best, they might have some tents and temporary structures out there. I have severe doubt as to whether they've even thought of sanitation. And they really don't have much time to do anything.
There is absolutely nothing precluding it from being both, or being the former and becoming the latter. I half remember that this has happened before...

A jaw in Israel a skull in China and some other assorted fossils in Europe. There was a whole bunch of interbreeding and such modern human is a mongrel really and because of that I don’t think we can really pin down where modern man “came” from.
Really quick question about these guys you think they actually bought any land? I’m mean from the language if they are legit they don’t sound like the kind of people that would buy the land of their new nation or town.
