Just a simple creative exercise which hopefully would be fun. I'd do things like tiers or assigning points but... I don't wanna spend all day on a hypothetical game that I just wanna use for brainstorming, creativity and discussion. :giggle:

So the basics of this are to create an army list (go as overboard as you want I suppose) that is following a particularly theme. I can provide the categories and a general layout I had in mind and follow it up with a very simple example:

Made a very simple... and unfinished sample of concept with lots of meaningless terms that have no meaning because there's no rules system.... but it gives it that more fluff tabletop feel. :p

Army Name: Stargate Command (circa 1940)

Theme: 1940's era Military if it had a semi-successful Stargate Program

Introduction: In 1939, a team of archaeologists, scientists, engineers and soldiers finally got the poorly translated 'Door to the Heavens' to work after accounting for stellar drift. Under the guidance of anthropologists Dr. Paul Langford, Henry "Indiana" Jones, scientists like Albert Einstein, John Von Neumann and Hugh Dryden and military officers such as General James C. Marshall and Major Lews "Chesty" Puller.

Army Name: The Army of the Oath.

Theme:
The Bidalaksha'Virazhoi (Cat-Eyed Queen, or "Koré-Aia" in ancient Minoan) from Thomas Harlan's Oath of Empire series with the Thaumaturgical Troops of the Roman Empire escaped the influence of the God-Emperor (from the final book, no more details, go read 'em!) and decided to help out Daenerys the First of Her Name, etc, etc, while in Meereen, having brought with her her Valach (pseudo-werewolf) and Dark Sisters, members of the Sisterhood of hidden Thira who had followed the Cat-Eyed Queen into darkness (i.e., become vampires). Yeah, they conquer Westeros.

Introduction:
This is the Army mobilised by the Empress Daenerys of Westeros and Ghis to fulfill her promise to a mysterious woman who helped put her on the throne of Westeros and defeat and liberate the ice-folk of the north from the tyrannical leadership of an incarnation of Azi Dahaka, the Lord of Ten Thousand Serpents, who sought to consume Planetos like her own homeworld, the Throneworld of the legendary Roman Empire.

HQ: The Bidalaksha'Virazhoi, commanding the main body in person. An immortal Amazon vampire thaumaturge who can battle a Thing-that-should-not-be Cthulhu-worships-this level Terror from the blackness of Space to a standstill. Despite sounding really evil, she likes having a humanity to play with, and when confronted with threats like this, fights on humanity's side (the ultimate anti-hero?). Called The Dark Queen.

Admiral Azarmidokht Apravarez - Commander of the combined naval forces of the invasion, with her Grecian fire equipped heavy dromon, rigged on the Summer Islander style. An Old Achaemenid Persian noblewoman taken into the darkness by Koré Aia herself. A fearsome warrior who could pit her sword with Barristan the Bold during the march to the West.

Empress Daenerys I Stormborn of Westeros and Ghis - Commanding the dragon detachment including not less than 20,000 Picts and 15,000 Jutes raised when her group was blown to the north of Evropa during the counter-invasion, along with 5,000 lockstep Ghiscari Pike and 3,000 heavy cavalry.

Ser Barristan the Bold -- A very old man in his 80s who wants to die on campaign (like a Spartan King of similar age and mettle) as the world slowly leaves him and the world around him behind. He follows Empress Daenerys to Evropa to defeat the God-Emperor at the behest of the Dark Queen because he intends to die there, protecting Daenerys should the Dark Queen prove to be playing a long game with his Sovereign, but respecting the Bidalaksha'Virazhoi as a warrior without peer.

The Dark Sisters -- The bodyguards of the Dark Queen and the Empress are members of a Dark Order of Thaumaturgy-using Amazon Vampires, armed with Valyrian steel blades plundered from the ruins of Valyria and the Lords of Westeros.

Core Troops: Basic Infantry + attached heavy weapons and/or transport vehicles and support elements -- The Lockstep Legions of Ghis and the Last Flower of Knightly Westeros. With crossbows, pikes and halberds, the Lockstep Legions form semi-combined arms formations in heavy, 14th century style armour, with handy killing pikes and sword and target for backup. The Lockstep Legions shall be pitting themselves against the Roman Legions and their infamous "threes" and "fives" of mentally linked thaumaturges who can spin magical defensive shields over the legions -- but the Lockstep Legions of Daenerys' Imperial Ghis also have Threes and Fives. There are twelve legions, eleven with the main body and one with Empress' Daenerys detachment. With Westeros under the central administration of Empress Daenerys and Harrenhal ruled by the Dark Sisters, the Knights of Westeros have been encouraged to serve in the war against the God Emperor to get them far from home and to let them, after being humbled by Dragon and Dark Sister, to reclaim their martial glory and honour. There are 31,000 of them in the main body and 3,000 with Empress Daenerys' detachment.

Elite Formations: Elite Infantry, Power Armored Infantry, Special Operations, "Enhanced/Super" Soldier equivalents --

The Golden Condor, operated by the Greco-Bactrian Dark Sister who serves as the Surgeon of the Order (sometimes even vampires need medical intervention) -- provides rapid transport of leaders;

A total of 19 dragons, including Daenerys and the revived corpses of some famous women including Nettles the Shepherdess, because like the God-Emperor, in a fight to the death with the stakes being total annihilation, the Bidalaksha'Virazhoi had taken to rising the dead as ghoula to fight for and advise her and her 'friend' the Empress, and finally, the volunteer dragons of Haida Gwaii, the island where Valyrian sorceresses escaping the Doom settled on the magic Earth of the Throneworld and bred with the locals when they had nowhere else to go (Yes, magic wielding Haida people with dragons. They used the dragons to hunt whales. Sue me).

3. The Dothraki Amazon Cataphractoi -- to match the God-Emperor's regular cavalry, the Bidalaksha'Virazhoi trained the surviving Dothraki women as her own regular horse that could use both the bow and the lance. Two legions of horse for 10,000 Kavallerie Truppen.


Recon/Light Units: Cavalry, Light Vehicles (motorbikes, light probes/drones, buggies, technicals etc), Light or Scout Vehicles -- Light Dothraki cavalry, 8,000 strong, and on foot, 3,000 Valachian wolfman (or woman)-warriors as dispersed peltastoi.

Heavy Units:
Tank or Mech/Mecha based equivalent, Towed or Self Propelled Artillery, Monsters of Unusual Size -- Mobile Repeating Ballistae with bronze springs that can fire sixty rounds a minute that can transfix an armoured horse and rider.

Air Support: Aircraft, Gunships, Heavier Drones, -- 19 Dragons, 'nuff said.

Combat Support: Supply Vehicles, Reserve Troop Transports, Medical Vehicles, Field Hospitals, Comm Arrays, Radar Vans et cetera -- Medical Thaumaturgy Corps and a magical flying giant golden condor for medevac.

Army Name: The Sycara, Brides of Sycorax

Introduction:


Many centuries ago a sorcerer of immense power rose to prominence in the world. He carved out a might empire for himself, subjugating numerous lessor nations and defeating many great heroes before he himself was destroyed by an alliance of the world's greatest campions and nations. This sorcerer king, who some call dark lord, was Sycorax. Among his followers he was more than merely king, but a god who prophesied that he would be destroyed and yet would one day return more powerful than ever before to rule all of existence forever.

Among Sycorax's most powerful and loyal servants were the Brides of Sycorax, often called the Sycara. These were the literal brides of Sycorax, women chosen by him to be his wives, but more than that they were powerful sorceresses in their own right, invested with some measure of his power and and sharing in many of his magical secrets. His brides were fanatically loyal and served as generals of his armies as well as advisers, and bodyguards. When the alliance of champions closed in around him, Sycorax gave his brides the order to flee despite their protestations, saying that he would need their services again one day.

Since that time, many speak of Sycorax in hushed whispered, for fear that even speaking his name might bring his wrath upon them. They also speak of the fanatical cultists devoted to Sycorax and his return. While many think of him as a devil, a creature of terrible evil, some tell tales of the wonders of the kingdom and how he has been unfairly maligned by kings and lords who would only call themselves heroes.

Relatively recently, the Sycara themselves have been far more active. They have been building their armies, drawing the cultists and other disciples of Sycorax to themselves. Some say that the prophesied time is at hand.

HQ:
The Sycara are ruled by three elder sorceresses who served directly under Sycorax when he lived and now speak in his stead - often called the Three Brides. Two are twin sisters, Mordua and Ascania, who have long raven hair and piercing green eyes. The third is Caoranach, a witch who is said to be descended of some terrible fae or demon, with hair and skin as white as alabaster. The sisters and Caoranach have never been enemies, but have had their rivalries dating back to even the days when Sycorax still lived and the followers of the sisters and those of Caoranach comprise two different forces that usually only fight together in extreme circumstances.

When a truly great force of the Sycara take the field, one (or the twins) of these witches is usually in command. There are other lesser champions among the Sycara, most prominent of which is Sklavi the son of Caoranach and Sycorax who is a mighty warrior and sorcerer in his own right. Others powerful members of this force include other elder Sycara sorceresses.

Core Troops:
The most common soldier among the ranks of this army are not the Sycara themselves but the numerous cultists of Sycorax who have sworn loyalty to one of the Three Brides. These cultists run the gambit from lightly armored and armored rabble to mercenaries or archers. Those more elite cultists who serve the Sycara, see below. There are also a number of young Sycara, recently inducted into the "harem" who have no magical powers of their own and merely act of servants for the elder Sycara or as priestesses of sorts to the cult of Sycorax.

Elite/Heavy Formations:
The most feared of the elite soldiers of the Sycara are the children of Caoranach. The only wife of Sycorax to bear his children, Caoranach takes a special pride in her descendants as they carry both the blood of Sycroax and that of her own inhuman ancestors. Over the centuries, these descendants have grown in number, having children of their own. Though they place great importance in their lineage and the powers it bestows, they have preserved this through inbreeding. As a result the descendants of Caoranach have a number of deformities or quirks, but also have great magical potential and super human physical prowess. The children of Caoranach are as pale as their matriarch, but often have other inhuman features. Some are fearsome warriors who have the strength of many men and the ability to regenerate from mortal wounds, others have mystical powers. Some of the female descendants of Caoranach have themselves become Sycara.

Where as Caoranach commands her monstrous offspring, the sisters are served by the Knights of the Black Rose. And order of knighthood who have sworn themselves to Mordua and Ascania and who view Sycorax as a heroic figure who fought against the corrupt rulers of the world. While they can themselves be quite brutal, the Knights of the Black Rose are also devoted followers of the ideas of chivalry and see it as their duty to protect all who follow Sycorax. They are highly skilled warriors, clad in plate and mail armor who ride into battle on destriers.


I need to think of a few more warrior types. I guess this was more of a little story than army list. Maybe more on that later.

It’s fine that it’s more of a story for the moment. I adore worldbuilding efforts, especially from someone competent at them, and that was enough to tell you are. My stories tend to be wild crossovers rather than strictly original, so I admit considerable respect for the effort put into a completely original setting.

Thanks. I have seen your world building as well and like it quite a bit. I'm not sure how competent I am. I always feel like I have these ideas in my brain that seem cool and then when I try to write them down am not articulate enough.

Thanks. I have seen your world building as well and like it quite a bit. I'm not sure how competent I am. I always feel like I have these ideas in my brain that seem cool and then when I try to write them down am not articulate enough.

I have several others I have worked on, but I wouldn't post them publicly as they might relate to fiction I could get professionally published in the future. Though there is one other I conceivably might... I might post some of the materials privately; some might be more interesting to you than others. Of my publicly posted stories, Berenike is the most original.

As for The Dark Queen, from my own list; here is where she prepares to face Azi Dahaka at Constantinople, in the wonderful Storm of Heaven by Thomas Harlan:

She had always expected this day would come. Her people had dwelt in the city for over a thousand years, living and hunting amongst the daywalker herds. Now they were few and driven into hiding. The Queen scowled, her fine-boned face transforming into a mask of hate. Pale fingernails, long and sleek, dug into the marble railing around the tower. She bent her head, concentrating, and felt power shift in the earth. She no longer had the strength of youth, but wind and air were still hers to command. Fog boiled up off the cold waters of the Propontis, spreading like a stain of ink in clear water. Within a few grains it covered the seven ships plowing south, then enveloped their masts and began to mount the massive granite seawalls. Beneath that shroud, her children fled.

She hoped that they would find safety in the west. Long ago she had made arrangements for their sanctuary, but who knew if such ancient trust would hold? The Queen turned away, drawing power back to her, letting the wind and the air and the sea resume their wonted course. She pulled the hood of her cloak over her head and began to descend the steps.

At the far edge of the water, where fog and mist crept towards the Asian shore, the tide of white suddenly stalled, boiling and seething. The Queen's head jerked up and she stopped, hand pressed against the crumbling wall. Something touched the fringe of her artifice. Even with her power withdrawn, she could feel an echo. Swiftly, almost without her thought, the air around her flickered and shaded to an impossible hue. She leapt back up the stairs, lightning on the railing, her feet bare on cold white stone.

In the east, at the edge of vision, lightning flickered in sullen clouds. At the edge of the water, power was working in the night. Her fog had disturbed some hidden pattern. A wind rose, and she could feel zephyrs rush across the cold waters, driving back the mist. For a moment, she considered putting forth her power to deny this. Then a strange sensation came over her, a flickering touch, riding on the wind. She knew it, recognized it, feeling memory stir. It was an old thing, something she had thought destroyed or banished. For the first time, the Queen knew the source of her dread and the strange feeling of doom filling the day-walker city.

The Destroyer, she thought, feeling truly old. The Lord of the Ten Serpents.

Thunder rumbled in the east, echoing the dim flash of light in the clouds.

The Queen snarled, in defiance now and not simple rage. She was glad, lighthearted, even, knowing why she had waited. She would not flee to the west. She would wait and prepare. It would be interesting. Even the faint pain lingering in her blood seemed insignificant. How will you get over the water, I wonder?


And this is the battle that followed when she stood to defend Constantinople alongside Prince Maxian, the Wielder of the Oath of Empire:

The thing was forced down to a crouch, iron head bent. Maxian could feel the presence of the dark figure in the dog, making an odd double echo in the thing's pattern. He struck again, lips pulling back in a grimace, and the plaza lit with an azure flash.

The clouds rippled away from the blast, swirling into cone-shaped vortices, and lightning cracked and raged around the figure on the ground. The iron mask began to glow a cherry red and there was an involuntary scream. The figure clawed at the mask, fingers smoking as they touched the hot metal. Maxian felt a fierce exultation, feeling his enemy's pattern suddenly waver and fade. His fist clenched, twisting in the air, pushing away from his body.

The air convulsed between them, twisting around a sizzling blue-white sphere that leapt from Maxian's hand. The flagstones of the plaza rumbled, cracking in line with the sphere, and then the iron dog was engulfed in a raging explosion of lightning, smoke and hissing fire. Struggling at the heart of the maelstrom, the iron dog groped for its fallen staff. Then the last pattern buckled, de-formed by enormous pressure, and there was a rumbling, echoing crack! as power flooded in, pinning the creature to the ground.

Maxian leapt back, soaring into the air, feeling the space around him twist and bend. The dark figure on the column at last entered the fight. Black fire shattered the cobblestones, flinging debris in all directions. At the same time, Maxian felt the ebon cloud converge on him. The temperature continued to drop and he was forced to divert some of his intent to keeping the air around him warm enough to breathe. Darkness lapped around him, sidling out of the sky in patchy sheets. The shadows sizzled against his ward, fragmenting, but draining the outer layers like a tap in a dam. Each whisper-soft blow leached more and more strength from the shield.

Cold laughter echoed from the pinnacle of the column. Maxian was assailed by visions and hideous sounds. Squirming mouths, studded with pinlike teeth, fastened to his flesh, sending jolts of agony through his limbs. Something monstrous swelled in the air, Batrachian wings blocking out the sky, the outline of the pulsating form impossible to define. A forest of black tentacles squirmed over his body, digging at his eyes, sliding gelatinously into his mouth and nose.

Maxian struggled to keep his pattern solid, groped for the power to strike back. He felt himself falling, plummeting towards the cold, icy stone of the plaza, but ignored the sensation, thinking it was a hallucination.

The Prince hit the ground hard, cracking his leg, then feeling his ankle splinter with a pop. True pain coursed through him and he screamed. The shadows in the air had eaten away the pattern that had held him aloft. Tears smoked from his face, freezing in the incredible cold. He lost concentration, fingers digging into the ice, a long scream of pain rending his throat.

Get up, boy, get up now! A furious voice echoed in his mind and he felt his arms push him up from the ground. We're all dead if you don't put that pain aside!

Frightened, Maxian felt himself lurched up, most of his weight on one foot. His other ankle was like a red-hot ember shoved under the flesh, burning at his nerves.

Heal yourself, you bastard! You're a fucking priest of Asklepius!

Shadows crowded around, seeping through the remains of his shield. Maxian tried to breathe, but the air had frozen again. He gasped, choking. One of the shadows spilled through a crack in the pattern, touching his wounded foot. The skin froze, cracking away from the bone in thin, shell-like sheets. Maxian stared down in horror, watching black corruption creep up his leg.

Do it! The voice had a strange accent, and Maxian felt his arms twitch, wrenched from his control. Columella! Show me how to do this! He's lost his fucking mind. A babble of other voices answered, filling Maxian's head with chaos. He trembled, unable to move, his feet frozen to the ground.

Lord Prince, an urgent voice, elderly, Roman, with unmistakable traces of a patrician Latin accent, penetrated. You must open yourself to the healing power. Now!

Maxian responded to the snap of command in the elderly voice, his mind finding the pattern that restored flesh and bone and the vital humors. Health suddenly blossomed in his flesh and the pain stopped, cut off like a joint split by the butcher's cleaver. His mind was clear, even the strange voices fading away. The air warmed within his compressed, almost destroyed shield. Ice melted away from his feet. The crawling skin of shadow cracked, then hissed to vapor. Bone knit in his shattered ankle, flesh regrew at a phenomenal rate, strength returned to arm and leg.

A sharp shout of command focused his mind, and pure white light flooded from his upraised hand. The shadows fled, shrieking, dissolving as the light touched them. Maxian stood, hale, upright, on the blocky flagstones of the plaza, his shields restored, burning blue and white in the darkness.

|A scene of devastation greeted him. The column of Constantine had been shattered, leaving a concrete stump jutting into the air. The statue itself lay broken in pieces on the far side of the plaza. Most of the buildings surrounding the Forum were burning furiously, their marble facades hissing with blue-white flame as the lime in the stone cooked away. Great smoking pits belched flame, clouding the air.

The Dark Queen was on the attack, her staff spinning in the air, a flicker of standing lightning describing a wheel of power. Her voice was roaring like a storm, calling words of power, breaking the air with staggering bolts of crimson lightning. The dark thing was wreathed in its own brittle shell, horrific images flashing around it, describing a faceted pattern. As Maxian watched, lightning licked down from the sky, shaking the reptilian figure, burning through two, three, four layers of its defense. It howled, touched by the Queen's rage.

Maxian leapt into the air, wind rushing around him. He crossed half of the massive plaza in a single bound, alighting on the ruined stump of the great column. Movement caught his eye, something crawling in the ruins. It was the iron dog, head low, still smoking with heat, but it crawled, bloody fingers dragging the ruined body through the tumbled brick and concrete. Grimacing, the Prince focused his will, feeling the reverberations of the Queen's attack shake the world. He chopped his hand down.

An ultramarine-blue flame leapt from his hand, tracing a sizzling arc through the air. It touched the iron dog, flinging it to the ground in a violent blast. Concrete piers, revealed under the shattered cobblestones, collapsed. A plume of dust and rock flew up, lit from within by flickering lightning. The iron dog gave a wail and vanished, smashed into the earth. Smoke billowed out of the collapsed area. Maxian grinned, his face feral, and turned away.

The thing in darkness had withstood the Queen's attack, shrugging off the hail of blasts and lightning strikes. Now the shadows scattered in the air swarmed around her, shrieking and dying in a blaze of crimson bolts. As fast as she struck them down, more flooded out of the night sky. Burning red motes joined them, hurling themselves against her pattern, destroying themselves in a mad rush to overwhelm her. Maxian saw his enemy clearly, for the first time.

It bore a human guise, tall and lean, with long dark hair falling over bony shoulders. Once the face had been noble and handsome, striking, with a powerful brow and sharp nose. Now a mottled darkness was on the skin, curling around the flat ears and deep-set eyes. Though the skin was pale, there was a rippling shimmer that made it seem dark. Maxian felt an instant and powerful revulsion. Here was a thing that was the enemy of Man. Something primordial in him howled in defiance, urging him to kill.

Maxian's hands blurred in a pattern, making the air around him groan. Power wicked up out of the earth, causing stone, concrete, marble, brick to quiver to dust all around him. There were hidden ways and adits under the city. They shook, roofs collapsing, supports crumbling away. Water poured from broken cisterns, flooding the tunnels before it froze. The nearest building, a four-story temple adorned with friezes of the ancient gods at the harvest and a dozen lithe statues of nymphs, shook and then fell, toppling into the square with a roar.

He struck, everything focused into a shining cyan mote that hissed across the space between the column and the dark man. The figure spun, feeling the world shift. Its thin red eyes widened in surprise, then it soared away, flashing into the sky. Maxian's orb ripped in pursuit, accelerating to enormous speed. The enemy twisted, flashing a clawlike hand in a matching pattern. A black lattice congealed out of the air. The cyan orb plowed into the center of the matrix.

Skynet

Theme: A basic layout for the Armed Forces of Skynet.

Core Troops:
T-1: Autonomous Ground Offensive System. The First of the Terminator Series with a tracked chassis.. Equipped with twin M-134 Guns.
T-7T Tetrapod: Squat six foot tall crab shaped four legged spider walker equipped with dual machine guns. Heavily armored from the front and top.
T-70: Eight foot tall armored battle chassis. It is equipped with a gatling gun and motion tracking laser sighting. Requires recharging after prolonged use. Deployed individually or in a squad. Good for defense.
T-400: Basic bipedal humanoid combat chassis. Constructed out of steel and powered by hydraulics, the T-400 possesses two basic optic sensors and overall is noisy, slow and poorly armored compared to later models.
T-600: T-600's can range in height from six to eight feet tall and weigh 800 pounds. They are incredibly strong, able to lift several times their own body weight and break through brick or concrete. Also capable of short bursts of sprinting speed up to 40mph. They can last for years with minimal maintenance and operate autonomously but at the cost of overall degradation of abilities.

T-820/825: Variation of the T-800 meant for combat. Slightly better armored then the T-800 and equipped with one or two V96 Phased Plasma Rifles.

> T-800 Infiltrator: (One Read-Only T-800, Covered in Organic Flesh, equipped with a RBS-80 Plasma Minigun)

T-850: Infiltration unit based on the T-800 Chassis with superior self repair abilities, plasma resistant armor, redunancy in case of shock or shutdown and powered by two iridium nuclear power cells. Read-Write Programming. Improved personality and psychological programming. Capable of utilizing wide variety of weapons.
T-888: Infiltration unit based on the T-888 Chassis. Designed with improved coltan-blended hyperalloy and more subdermal armor plating. Overall far lighter and less resilient then a T-800 but provides better all around protective cover. Capable of prolonged sprinting. Even more advanced personality programming for better infiltration. Triple Read-Write CPU arrangement.

Recon/Light Units:
Silverfish: Small segmented drone that crawls low along the ground and upon detecting the enemy, hurls itself headlong into them and explodes.
Spider Scout: Small lightly armored spider shaped hunter killers equipped with electric pincers.
Moto-Terminator: Motorcycle shaped Hunter-Killers able to reach speeds of upwards of 200mph. Lightly armored. Possess incredible agility to avoid debris and wreckage at high speeds.
> Gun Moto-Terminator: Equipped with twin M1919 Browning Machine Guns and one M134 Minigun.
> Plasma Moto-Terminator: Equipped with two Plasma Emitters
> Snowminator: Snowmobile version of the Moto-Terminator equipped with two Plasma Emitters.

Armored Spider: Man sized spider walking quadruped Hunter Killing. Decently armored and equipped with two miniguns.

> T-47 Plasma: Arm mounted miniguns are replaced with rapid firing plasma cannons.
Harvester: Large bipedal Hunter-Killer designed to capture Humans. Heavily armored. Four arms. Equipped with a plasma cannon mounted on the back shoulder. Deploy two Moto-Terminators.
Hunter-Killer Tank "Ogre": Several stories tall and propelled by two large individual tank treads, the HK-Tank has a large rotating conning tower and is equipped with two power side mounted rapid fire rotary plasma cannons.
Spider-Tank: Large armored walker. Equipped with an arm mounted plasma cannon on each arm, one rear and one forward facing.

Air Support:
Flyer-Killer: Small VTOL flyer equipped with twin machine guns and low yield rockets Lightweight Titanium Armor for minimal protection. Short range and used infrared/thermal sensors for target identification with a basic AI.
Aerostat: Small aerial probe drone. No weapons. Capable of transmitting video and sensor data to larger units.
Armored Drone: Small scout drone with light armor, three optical sensors and equipped with two plasma guns and one minigun.
Hunter Killer VTOL: Light twin engined aircraft. Lightly armored, agile and fast. Equipped with a single underslung plasma cannon.
Hunter Killer Aerial Weapons Platform: Large VTOL Hunter Killer Aerial equipped with multiple plasma cannons and used for ground support.
Mark VII Aerial Hunter Killer: VTOL HK Aerial equipped with multiple underwing mounted plasma cannons and air to air missile launchers. Capable of carrying small numbers of Terminators within.
> Mini Hunter: Small turbofan propelled drone equipped with one undermounted plasma cannon. Deployable from HK Aerials
Transport: Large flying VTOL capable of carrying one Harvestor and two Aerial Hunter Killers as well as large amounts of cargo and/or captives.

Combat Support:
Hydrobot: Simply programmed small serpentine robot that propels itself through the water to strike at targets with its metal teeth.
Kraken: Massive and powerful Anti-Submarine Warfare Bot. Usually follows set patrol routes. Incapable of diving as deep as a Seawolf-class Nuclear Submarine.

Army Name: Hungry Hungry Hunters

Theme: All of those space bugs need to Confederate against the mean bipeds who are trying to oppress and keep them down. Are they a Confederation of Savage Aliens with Primitive but Cunning Intellects, or an Amalgamation of Species brought together to cleanse planets of all sorts of fauna but leaving the verdant worlds and their flora and resources intact?

Army List:

HQ:
Rachni Queen (Mass Effect): Growing upwards of fifty feet long and possessing even greater strength and durability then their Rachni brethren, the Queens possess a long term genetic memory of their forebears and can lay eggs even without males present due to the genes of previous generations being stored within them.
Brain Bug (Starship Troopers): The leadership caste of the Arachnid species, they are capable of commanding entire bug colonies but are also almost completely defenseless beyond a shrieking scream of alarm. They possess potent telepathic powers allowing them to remotely direct their underlings from afar. They can also steal the knowledge out of the minds of other beings through a long proboscis they use to suck the brain matter out of captives. They can also apparently control said captives for an undetermined amount of time.
Tao Tie Queen (The Great Wall): Twice the size of the standard Tao Tie soldier, she is ALWAYS under the protection of a platoon of Tao Tie Defenders (known as the Queens Guards) and appears more lizardlike then her fellow Tao Tie. She's highly intelligent and capable of developing counter-strategies and tactics in short order, as well as being able to communicate with her troops via a large gill appendage upon her nape. She can apparently breed in proportion to the amount of food she consumes.

Core Troops:
Tao Tie Soldier (The Great Wall): A lightly armored but fairly durable lion sized alien with jade green reptilian skin. They possess yellow eyes along their shoulders, a large maw filled with rows of sharp teeth, long limbs ending in forepaws with sharp claws and opposable thumbs as well as a gill like appendage on the nape of their neck they use to communicate with each other. They move and behave vaguely like canines and while capable of jumping, cannot climb sheer walls.
Bioraptor (Riddickverse): A highly aggressive and predatory species that is extremely photosensitive to the point of being harmed by sources of light, they have thin streamlined bodies which allows them limited flight. They possess thick leathery hides, a sharp toothed maw and two bonespear like forelimbs which are their main weapons for dealing with prey. Possessing no eyes, they can perceive sound through the stalks growing out of the side of their heads as well as possessing a sharp sense of smell.
Arachnid Warrior Bug (Starship Troopers): A highly aggressive quadruped insectoid, the Warrior Bug is the mainstay of the Arachnid army. Agile, fast and well armored, the Warrior Bug possesses a pair of powerful mandibles as well as deadly forelimbs capable of rapidly striking at foes with slashing or stabbing attacks upwards of several meters away. Highly survivable, including in the vacuum of space, the Warrior Bug can survive the removal of several limbs as the most reliable manner of killing them is striking their central nervous cluster within the core of their body.
Rachni Soldier (Mass Effect): Quadruped alien with light chitinous armor and deadly in melee as their tentacles can readily impale foes. At range they are also capable of spitting acid at enemies. Rachni Soldiers prefer attacking from ambush positions or otherwise hidden. Otherwise they prefer to attack en masse and close to melee.
White Spike Males (The Tomorrow War): Highly aggressive quadruped species the size of a small car. They possess thick dorsal army resistant to rifle rounds and two extra mantis style limbs for grabbing and climbing. They also have two long tentacles in the rear which are capable of firing powerful armor piercing spiked projectiles. They are extremely fast, capable of climbing and leaping great distances, rapidly swimming in the deep ocean, jumping into a glide for short distances and strong enough to rend individuals or knock over light vehicles. They also possess nightvision in addition to their impressive sense of smell.

Elite Formations:
White Spike Queen (The Tomorrow War): Larger, more powerful and more intelligent version of the male White Spikes, they are capable of signaling the males across long distances. They also possess exceptionally fast reproduction rates.
Death Angels (A Quiet Place): Large, heavily armored, blind and extremely fast creatures who are highly effective hunters by sound. They can move so fast they often use all four limbs for traversing terrain but are also capable of leaping great distances. They are highly resistant to gunfire, heat and fire due to their overlapping armor plating but vulnerable to highly focused sonic attacks which can stun them and open up their armor plating over their heads. They are also incapable of traversing deep water, being too heavy or dense to swim.
Tao Tie Defenders (The Great Wall): Elephant sized jade green scaled quadrupeds, a few score of these large monsters are always accompanying the Queen and ensure her protection. They lack tails but possess paws capable of crushing Humans in their grasp and powerful armored frills that can deflect heavier weapons and projectiles, providing a dome like shield over their Queen if needed.
Skull Devil (Monsterverse): The adult version of a Skull Crawler, the Skull Devil is a thirty meter tall monster who is both more resilient, powerful and intelligent then the juvenile form. While seemingly just as voracious and aggressive, the Skull Devil possesses a keen feral or predatory intellect.

Recon/Light Units:
Shriekers (Tremors): A Graboid that approaches the end of its life cycle spawns three Shriekers which are dog sized two legged carnivores just as ravenous as their forebears. They are natural pack hunters who hunt, sense and communicate through heat. They possess armored heads whose mouths can tear into metal but their most dangerous quality is the ability to reproduce rapidly after eating.

Heavy Units:
Graboid (Tremors): A massive ravenous worm with an armored maw and head. Measuring up to thirty feet long, six feet wide and several hundred pounds, Graboids are able to effortlessly burrow through the Earth and with enough time have enough raw power to bring down light buildings and large vehicles. They are highly intelligent ambush predators that can hunt via seismic vibrations.
Skull Crawler (Monsterverse): Large, two legged reptiles with slender bodies, long prehensile tails and a skull like armoring protecting their head, Skull Crawlers are primarily subterranean but possess gills to breathe underwater. Usually a minimum of ten meters long, these juveniles of the species possess extremely high metabolisms and are extremely aggressive, able to function as solitary or pack hunters as well as ambush predators depending on situation. Able to absorb significant amounts of damage, their hides are still vulnerable to penetration. They also possess extremely long bungee like tongues.
Rachni Brood Warrior (Mass Effect): An even larger version of the Rachni Soldier, they also possess greater intelligence and are capable of executing biotic abilities including Warp, Stasis and even Barrier abilities. The size of a vehicle, they are deadly to infantry and can even contest armored vehicles in fighting. Their acid blasts are also capable of penetrating shields and harming armored vehicles.
Tanker Bug (Starship Troopers): A giant beetle shaped bug covered in a thick black armored carapace, the Tanker Bug is capable of burrowing through the ground and bursting through armored plating. Their deadliest attack is the ability to unleash a spray of flammable liquid to immolate and literally melt their targets.
Plasma Bug (Starship Troopers): A giant bug with a massive abdomen that can discharge powerful bursts of plasma as a form of planetary surface to space defense as well as for anti-air and artillery bombardment. When their abdomen is exposed however they are highly vulnerable to detonating.

Air Support:
Vesps (The Silence): Small, pterosauroid bird like predators, due to living underground they are blind and thus hunt by sound. Capable of flight, they hunt in flocks and use their teeth to rapidly inflict damage to prey, often using their corpses to lay eggs in.
Ass Blaster (Tremors): The third stage of the Graboid life cycle, Shriekers molt into similarly sized creatures that are capable of causing a chemical reaction that launches them into the air and thanks to their ability to glide, these dog sized creatures can remaing airborne for long periods of time which is their preference. They hunt through infrared radiation and engage prey both in packs and solitary. They are also highly intelligence and carry a single Graboid egg that they may desire to plant as far away as possible to ensure the continuation of the species.
Hopper Bug (Starship Troopers): Considered by some as a Warrior bug with wings, the Hoppers are fast and agile in the air but their wings are lightly armored, even vulnerable to small arms. They also possess foreclaws capable of decapitating enemy soldiers on flybys or other slashing attacks as well as a pincer tail capable of hooking enemies and carrying them away with little loss of speed or agility.

Added monsters from Tremors and The Silence and the Skull Crawlers from the Monsterverse. Might add more later. But I'll find some new theme to waste time and nerd out on next probably. So much easier then actually writing a proper fanfiction or original story.
