The following is a summary of what the senior prisoner has revealed and/or claimed
    1. The Kuritan forces are here as part of Operation: Bakkusutabu.
    2. That the forces for this operation were drawn from the Amphigean Light Assault Group
      1. This formation does not appear in any of your data about House Kurita or the Draconis Combine
    3. That Coordinator Hugai Kurita is the acknowledged and rightful First Lord of the Star League.
    4. That only the perfidy of House Davion has stood against the rightful First Lord and is solely responsible for the conflict within the Inner Sphere.
    5. Anybody who stands against the rightful First Lord will be treated as traitors and destroyed.
    6. The forces you destroyed were only a 'very light' scouting group that hadn't been expecting such a 'violent and lawless' response to their 'righteous and reasonable' demands for planetary surrender and subjugation to the Rightful First Lord.
      1. it is noted that in the initial communication from the raiders that no mention was made of the First Lord.
The interrogator notes that after the first crack via narco-interrogation methods that they've been simply allowing the prisoner to rant and recording all of his claims without challenging him on them. If he is, in fact, an ISF agent as he claims, according to the data that you have they are fanatics who would be more than willing to do anything possible to mislead interrogators even after appearing to break, and that any of his claims that appear slanted towards demoralization or claims of their inevitable victory due to the Might of the Dragon can be discounted as the ravings of a fanatic.

Further interrogation is scheduled, with a return to full narco methods and corroboration from other prisoners to check against his claims.

I am utterly blown away. The incredibly talented @Culsu has made a truly gorgeous and awesome map for the quest. For those of you who don't know, @Culsu makes maps for commission and does incredible work. You can check out the gallery at Foreign Worlds. If any of you ever have any projects that would benefit from a great map, I urge you to give this a try!

And without further ado, I present to you the map of Griffin's Roost!

System Map, updated to represent the state of affairs as of Turn 28 of the quest.

Both Griffin IV and Griffin V are marked partially in red, as neither has been visited, explored and secured by royal forces yet, and Sarah is not omniscient.

Ladies and gentlemen, with the blessing of LordSunhawk this represents both the state of affairs on Griffin's Roost itself as well as in the star system as of 2959 C.E. (last turn).

An update was overdue, with all that's going on. The map's getting a lot more crowded with our orbital expansion, so I decided to add a little legend and prepare more symbols for you to play around with. And the big cargo hauler wasn't named, so now it goes by DAMNIT TYLER. :p

As part of the Ground Vehicles revamp I have been hard at work on a new set of sheets to make it easier for me going forward to handle upgrading ground units as well as creating new ones. As part of this, I am in the process of revamping the Ground Tracker.

Today I finished up a Unit Display Sheet, which allows anybody to select a unit, ranging from a basic mech/tank all the way up to a regiment, and it will show the statistics and the component sub units.

The new sheet is located HERE

Please feel free to reference this at any time. In the near future, I will be expanding these player interactive sheets to include plan creation tools.

    Orbital Shipyard Segments

Incidentally, due to constant questions and misunderstandings about the Orbital Shipyards and how they work, I broke out DoGA l3 and mocked up a standard orbital shipyard module.

Shipyard Segment (Showing Large Dropship Bay) Front.JPG
This is the 'front' of the module, showing a Large Dropship construction bay, the regular dropship bay is about a third this size, but there are two of them.

    Shipyard Segment - Rear.JPG

And this is the 'back' of the module. 5 of these to a side make up a single Jumpship slip. And yes, Jumpships (and later Warships) are built in unpressurized yards, while dropships are in a pressurized building hall. One of the reasons it's so much faster to build Dropships.

I did not model the core of the Shipyard complex, nor did I model the segments between Yard modules (visually, think the slab you see on the rear of the yard module but with additional scaffolding.) Those segments are 'free' as part of the upgrade process.

    Finally...
    Shipyard Warship Segment.JPG

These are the segments that turn a Jumpship yard into one capable of building Warships.

I've rummaged through the thread and started to create a catalogue of star systems so that you all have an easily accessible visual benchmark for what is hapening where. I'll update this with more star system maps as soon as the astrographic data becomes available. Please understand that I will not be updating these maps on my own with changes in ownership, orbital production, and destroyed/established bases and/or stationed ships. Maps are represented as based on the first data I can find in the thread.

OK, a few behind the scenes details on the Black Steel

First of all, the way their forces and such are calculated, and how I determine if there's an attack any given turn.

I use what I call the Threat, Magnitude and Aggression indexes for this.

Threat - A measure of how powerful the Black Steel are on the back end, IE production capacity. Threat is measured as 1+Number of Active Black Steel Outposts.

Magnitude - A measure of the current available fleet strength of the Black Steel

Aggression - How likely are the Black Steel to attack.

Each turn, I roll 1d10 per point of Threat, using successes (those who've played Exalted or World of Darkness are familiar with that mechanic). Each point of success adds 1 to Magnitude.

I then roll 1d10 per point of Magnitude to determine Aggression, with each success adding 1 point to Aggression.

Finally, I roll 1d10 per point of Aggression, any successes on this roll means an attack this turn.

If the attack is defeated, Magnitude resets to zero. If they were to succeed but take any damage at all, they lose 1 Magnitude. If they succeed but are reduced to CLG they lose 3 Magnitude, and if they succeed but are Shattered they are reset to 1 Magnitude.

Remaining Magnitude is then used to determine damage to civilian assets in the system, 1d10 per remaining points of Magnitude, each success causes a set percentage of damage.

    ----------------

For the Black Steels automation systems. They are NOT using 'traditional' CASPAR systems, they are using their own technology. Said tech involves cloning and cybernetics to effectively have brains in a jar (not literally, but the bodies are severely atrophied due to complete disuse) wired into the systems, only the ASFs are 'traditional' CASPAR and those aren't a significant issue for you. I think you all can see the severe ethical problems related to this, and how the Empire as your decisions have built it to be would recoil violently at the possibility of going down that path.
