United States DHS Suspends Global Entry for New York Residents

In response to New York barring their DMV from cooperating with ICE and Customs & Border Patrol, DHS has suspended enrollment and re-enrollment by New York residents in Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, and FAST.

Global Entry is the big one as is massively speeds up international travel. Preventing its use by New York residents is going to really piss off the NYC business and financial communities.

Global Entry is obviously important for allowing founders to tap into the global markets, but what are the other programms good for?

When Cali bars their DMV from sharing information with the feds presumable. That is what made NY different from the other states; they specifically barred sharing DMV info with CBP and ICE (and CBP is who runs Global Entry).
