Election 2020 Election 2020: It's (almost) over! (maybe...possibly...ahh who are we kidding, it's 2020!)

It seems like a basic rule of law case.

If states have to follow the constitution and their own laws then Trump wins. If they rule the other way then the constitution and laws don't matter at all and states can do whatever they want illegal or not.

It seems like a really easy decision but it's 2020...

Lets hope 2020 doesn't decide to get in one last 'screw you' before the year ends.

Far from trying to vindicate its own sovereign or quasi-sovereign interests, Texas is ultimately seeking redress for the political preferences of those of its citizens who voted for President Trump. See Pennsylvania v. New Jersey, 426 U.S. 660, 665 (1976) (per curiam) (States cannot, through parens patriae, bring an action in this Court’s original jurisdiction litigating the personal claims of its citizens. Otherwise, this Court’s “docket would be inundated”). In so doing, Texas repeats the same false allegations of election fraud that have already been repeatedly rejected by other courts. See supra at 3-6. And its request for relief—to disenfranchise tens of millions of voters who reasonably relied upon the law—is uniquely unserious.

Lmao.

Have they even read the Lawsuit?

I wonder if that's gonna work against them.
It might it might not.

The potential "harm" from what Texas is asking is real, and it's the biggest problem facing all of these suits. So if the states can turn it from a constitutionality question to that they might be able to get the surpreme court to refuse things.

Anyone else notice the usual suspects are very quiet today. Anyway as more and more states join the MSM and Big Tech will have a difficult time spinning it.
And what happens when all but the furthest left states join it?

Noticed how lately their smug was replaced by a quiet, seething anger?

Most of other states left already joined on the Soyviet side. And yeah, their legal docs can be best summarized by a crying wojak memepic.
