Washington — Federal and state authorities in Michigan unveiled charges against 13 people accused of separate plots to kidnap Michigan Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer over coronavirus restrictions she imposed in the state, detailing the harrowing allegations in court papers on Thursday.
Six suspects face federal charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and were arrested Wednesday. A criminal complaint filed in federal court Tuesday and unsealed Thursday identifies the suspects as Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Ty Garbin, Kaleb Franks, Daniel Harris and Brandon Caserta. The six are accused of plotting to kidnap Whitmer at her vacation home and place her on trial for treason before the November election.
Though it should be made clear; the plotters asked the militia for help, the militia did not come up with the plot, as the news cycle is trying to claim.
Many of whom have been negatively impacted by shut downs, that 13 people out of a population would try it after a few months of economic strangulation is not surprising.
Once you get into over a year of a shut down I think we get into the angry mobs pointed at local leaders stage were not quite their yet.

Seem to be rightly arrested for conspiring crimes. FBI could stand to copycat that effectiveness in numerous other locales.
I think the amusing thing is how much the story demonstrates militias as being inundated with agents--and the folks who AREN'T Federal agents or informants in them get weirded-out enough by the McVeigh-alike yabos STILL to turn informant on them.
Two informants are mentioned in the FBI affadavit--one of whom came forward when the group started talking about going after cops, as are two FBI undercovers. And it implies more might've been around, those are just the ones they got recordings and evidence from. Like...looks like the 'militia' here was one bad turn away from FBI agents arresting FBI agents who were squealed on by FBI informants while other folks in the militia who didn't do shit looked-on whilst drinking beer and barbecuing.
Though in that vein...The LARP is strong with these folks with their abbreviated letter-prefixes for going on 'exercises' and all that stuff. Which, whatever. But...I am mildly curious what the average weight of the folks were. Or if they had basic first aid knowledge.
Just saying. Militias have a bad tendency of going for flashy showy fun stuff over basic stuff that might actually be useful outside of the one-weekend they're marching about the woodlands on mock 'field maneuvers'.
She's created laws from the executive branch, spent money which she is constitutionally not allowed to do without legislative approval, and refused to return power to the legislative branch when her the questionably valid emergency powers bill expired. She has also ignored the court orders to stop her dictatorial actions.
