Why do you think scholars are necessary to fix this?

Not really; we're even more fucked than if the Left in America remained in control of their country.

Our government [Labour] are pretty much clueless communists in all but name, and we're basically being colonized by savages without them "firing a shot".

And, in a darkly amusing twist, our education standards are still higher than the current US public schooling system, and our schools have been falling apart for years now [they tried to revitalize things with the "academy" system, but that died a sudden death when, surprise surprise, the money from the government ran out].

they mostly surrendered academia to the left and went into the private sector to earn money instead of pass on their values. now we are left with an academia that is not fit for purpose that even the common man can see is so detached from reality that if they implement what they say in their life it would lead to ruin. that's the problem with the institution losing the faith of the populous. it is really hard to earn back trust once it is lost.

Surrendered? Academia was always leftist. Even before there was a left, really.

No, what actually happened is that a new generation of conservatives rose in the 80s that saw that it might be possible to change what may as well be a law of nature: Academia being a leftist echo chamber. But unfortunately, their only allies are a bunch of mentally unstable kooks that think 5G will make you gay, Vaccines are Satanic, and evolution is anti-Christian propaganda.

We can't win with MAGA as our only allies. It's becoming increasingly clear that the new STEM Conservative needs to dispose of these idiots before he can take on the progressives.

And dispose of them he will. STEM is important in the modern era, Christian conspiracy theorists are not. Evolution favors the species that adapts to the environment.
