I like the expression "notorious philosopher".
Well, I used said expression because he is very well or very badly regarded and there is no universal consesus on him, not to mention that I have seen more people in real life and the internet knowing about Evola THAN Marcus Aurelius.

@Buba on a side note on Evola again, I forgot to mention that he was a painter for a brief period of time and he DID a temporary exhibition in Milan, one of the most progressive cities in Italy. IF NOT THE MOST PROGRESSIVE.

"Progressive city" makes me expect that going there will get me mugged and buggered by a "mostly peaceful" victim of "fascist patriarchy".

My son and his peers at the kindergarten churned out similar pieces. My, my, what passes for art these days! Well, in my day, you had to obtain a litre of demon blood to get the colours just right, and a dragon claw to ...

You got it right but it has not become (yet) like Los Angeles, Barcelona, Paris or Berlin.

Well it was futurism.

However your son and peers and Evola are certainly better artists than MANY contemporary "artists".

We all know how reliable and truthful NYT is (i.e. totally is NOT), but maybe amusing:

On an unrelated note - question - what was the age of majority in Casa Savoia and Borbon due Sicilie? I.e. would a 16 year old (semi) orphan get a regent or would he reign in his own right?

You know I am favor of restoring Brazil's monarchy but not Savoys.

They are only better than the current King of England but it is relatively easy considering what King Charles is as an individual.

Also because they haven't ruled Italy for almost a century.

Now that you've mentioned him, it finally dawned on me where did GRRM get his inspiration for "Florent ears".
Speaking of the old coot GRRM (or who runs this website) DID a shout out of an Italian artist :

The website doesn't work of course.

To continue my pestering with random Italy related questions - wiki on the last king of Two Sicilies says, that he turned down an offer by di Cavour to partition the Papal States between "Italy" and his realm. Is anything known as to how the partition would had been?

First time I hear about it!

I don't know anything about it.

Wouldn't surprise me if they outright refused considering both the monarchy and population of the Two Sicilies was ultra-conservative Catholic (and still IS to this day) and chopping up the territories of the Pope would be a big nono.
