Stargate General Stargate thread

Ah I love the smell of missile spam in the morning
alright here are my first stargate fanfiction recommendations
aka when the Orion is a bit more online when it fights the Wraith and survives. Its 8.2k words long and its potential aftermath would be interesting. Alas its a one shot

and the world war series
Xover: Worldwar: Discovering the Balance Ch 1, Stargate: SG-1 & Battlestar Galactica: 2003 | FanFiction

the gist of which what happens when the Race and the 12 Colonies attempt to invade Stargate Earth after it has built 16 ships and given them Asgard Plasma Beams(oh and the Ori didn't invade the Galaxy) and the aftermath of said events which are the three succeeding stories.
they're really good and i can't say enough good things about the series which is ongoing albeit at relatively slow update rate

So, I'm planning on writing up a Stargate fic and would like a beta reader onboard whose familiar with the setting; both to bounce ideas off of and to make sure that I'm getting the details correct. Is anyone interested?

What are the basics?
It's set during Season 3 of SG-1. It's going to be written as something of a one-off story, though there will be room left for a sequel, or even multiple sequels, depending on how well it is received.

As for the story itself, I'm intending to try and write it in the sort of 'style' of a two-part story. Like this was a novelization of sorts of an episode of SG-1. As for length, I'm still working on that, but I can't imagine more than a little over a half-dozen chapters at most in the ballpark of 3,000 to 5,000 words each. The story takes place on the world of Terella, which was seen in the season 2 episode 'Need'.

As for the story itself, I'd rather not spoil it here. The story is a crossover, though that should not be an issue, as I'm fairly confident in my knowledge of the crossover elements and a general notion of how well their tech will match up with the Stargate-verse. So you shouldn't have to worry about that too much. I will say that we're not talking about a massive armada, planet or an entire faction getting IOST'd over. Though they aren't to be taken lightly.
