Personally I chalk it up to that happening to be one of Chris's worse plans. Most of his ideas are decent but this time he latched onto his "trust" theme and pushed it too far.

At a guess the author. ;) I tend to imagine that Heather sees the world entirely through a lens of "manipulator" and "manipulated." She's slotted Jason into "manipulator" in her mind which puts him in the same class as her as opposed to her inferiors to be despised and manipulated.

That other wolf over there might be trying to steal the same sheep you are, thus she should snarl and snap at it to get the sheep for herself, but it's also got a heck of a lot higher mate value than the sheep has. That's generally why I imagine she fell for Alejandro.
Yeah, thinking on it, that is very plausible. Chris (and/or the producers) has definitely had his ups and downs when it comes to challenge ideas, so it makes sense that he simply got the theme idea and then pushed it too hard.

Not really. I mean, I will say that it is a definite possibility, but as I've mentioned before I'm trying to not get ahead of myself by re-watching the show only one or two episodes at a time, to let things develop "naturally" from episode to episode.

Yeah, that's more or less how I remember viewing things back when I saw season 3; Alejandro was the first one up there on that same level with her, which of course made him stand out in Heather's mind, and eventually one thing led to another... which is also why I'm saying that something similar could definitely happen between her and Jason, even if it isn't certain at all.

Ah the beauty of this chapter was good. Looking forward to the opening scene next chapter that couldn't get in this one. Alright let's get started.

Well everyone basically saw Heather do her trick on Gwen. Do think it was funny Jason thought they would be black and Gwen's reaction to saying purple looks good on her. Anyway with Jason's knowledge on Heather he's starting to get a picture of Heather. Do love that Heather is gonna "play" his game. Curious what Heather will do. Funny enough Courtney saw it and might be getting ideas about Jason and Heather(misunderstandings/not begin!!).

Now for Geoff, DJ and Bunny. DJ's way of caring for Bunny was.....weird. Let me guess Geoff did normal things like petting and feeding Bunny carrots instead of DJ's....method. Bunny basically realized Geoff's was better. Gonna guess Bunny is gonna keep trying to escape helicopter mom DJ(one morning Bunny is in Geoff's bed which makes DJ freak out). Anyway Geoff and DJ aren't getting along and it might keep going which can have interesting butterflies later....Are DJ and Geoff gonna try to get their teammates to pick sides(Jason is gonna think its stupid)?

Now for the Bass vote. Yeah most of the vote were very mixed. Jason and Eva going for Harold were easy guesses. Everyone else was sorta everywhere. Courtney wants Eva gone because of being knocked out. Geoff and DJ maybe voted for the other because of Bunny. Harold is a little bit a mystery but my guesses are either Jason because of the push into jellyfish or trying to piggybacking off another vote like Eva hoping Duncan would go with Courtney's vote. Then we got Duncan who picked Harold which makes sense. Obviously Duncan wants to go along with Courtney's vote but it being Eva really had him thinking especially when the other person was Harold who Duncan doesn't like and not very good at challenges. Curious if the Eva and Courtney friendship is done with and maybe Courtney guessing Duncan didn't go with her vote.

Yup, I have some scenes featuring Gwen and Trent, among others, that'll happen at the beginning of the next chapter. I think I need to rewrite them a little bit due to this chapter happening first, but it should be fairly minor editing, really.

Yeah, Jason was thinking the stereotypical "Goths love black" thing, basically. And yes, Courtney - confused due to her concussion as she was - will definitely start to get "ideas" about Jason and Heather. It remains to be seen if she says or does anything about it in the next chapter, though.

Fairly spot on. Bunny realized normal petting and feeding was less uncomfortable, plus Geoff was trying his hardest to impress Bridgette, upping the ante. I do have some ideas about Bunny trying to escape next chapter, but as I haven't watched the episode yet I can't say for certain the scenes'll fit into there or not. We'll see.

I imagined the vote going exactly like that, only with Harold voting for Jason, as he felt betrayed getting pushed back into the jellyfish pond. The Eva and Courtney friendship... I don't know. It mostly depends on how things go between them ahead of the next challenge, really; Eva will probably try to sheepishly apologize, but whether Courtney accepts the apology or not is unknown. Not sure if Courtney would guess Duncan's vote or not; while they have been flirting and hanging out a bit they're not a couple just yet, after all, and there were plenty of people who might have voted for Harold, so she might not suspect anything at all.

Let me guess. Trent is not gonna like the comment Jason made to Gwen about purple looking good on her and maybe Jason doing a joke about it next chapter? Either way looking forward to it.

Looking forward to see if Courtney will do anything. Jason just loves making comments at Heather doesn't he? Probably for the reactions and it being funny.

We'll see.

Very much makes sense. Bunny being treated like normal? Probably shocked Bunny a bit along with Geoff doing his best. If Bunny somehow escapes I'd expect Geoff to still treat Bunny good to continue impressing Bridgette (still weird and Bridgette is watching too....poor Bridgette).

Yeah not surprising Harold voted Jason. Makes sense and in character. Just wasn't sure if he would put a little effort to not get voted off. Man curious who was waiting with Harold when it was one marshmallow left. Especially with many one votes on many people. Only time will tell on the Eva and Heather relationship. If Courtney doesn't then I'm expecting them to be not friendly anymore. And yeah Courtney probably won't figure it out or care at least for now.

I may or may not add something like that, yes.

Yes, Jason does have a bit of a trollish personality, it is true. That Heather has decided to be something of an open antagonist to him (from his POV; at this point he has no clue about the "shadow war" between them) just makes her better as a target.

Bridgette is indeed watching... though it'll be quite a few chapters before we find out her reaction to it all.

Can't make any promises, but I think the Eva/Courtney thing will resolve itself in the next chapter... one way or the other.

Love the chapter!

Forgot that DJ was so...eccentric. Just...why is he treating Bunny like a baby bird?

Beyond that, can't wait for the next one.
Yeah, I have no idea what was going through his mind, there. I mean, DJ is routinely portrayed as someone who loves (most) animals, but why the heck would he treat a bunny like a baby bird? I have no idea what the writers were thinking with that one apart from rule of funny... I'm just gonna chalk it up to him loving animals but not really knowing much about them.

Trent seeing Jason making a comment about Gwen's underwear color while she is in said underwear openly and blushing from said comment......Oh Trent is gonna be jealous.....once he gets better anyway. In any case Trent might be thinking of voting Lindsay next time they lose a team challenge.

Jason is starting to open up and be more trollish. Do love that its happening to Heather and she's gonna do something that might be flirty just makes it even more beautiful(with possibly more misunderstandings/not).

Bridgette is probably dreading watching the next episodes seeing what Geoff will do next to "impress" her. Maybe Noah making comments about it in the background which usually gets something thrown at him.

And I'm looking forward to seeing Eva and Courtney either making up or things going down from there. Either way Chris and me will love it.

DJ loving animals doesn't usually means that he knows how to take care of them. Probably put in for the laughs but IC it makes sense DJ doesn't know how to take care of a rabbit. DJ is basically being a weird helicopter mom to Bunny.

Oh, he will definitely be jealous.

Not gonna spoil anything... but yes, Heather will almost certainly try something next chapter, possibly with hilarious results.

Ha, that wouldn't surprise me.

We'll see how it goes. I'm planning on watching the next episode tomorrow and then start on editing the scenes I skipped this chapter to account for the new events first of all. After that, I'll most likely start on the Eva/Courtney scene(s).

Pretty much.

Really thinking about it the Trust challenge has caused more distrust among the players than people gaining it. DJ and Geoff from the Bunny situation. Courtney to Eva from getting knocked out. Heather and Gwen from the trick on the climbing. Jason and Harold from the jellyfish(with Harold gone it not gonna matter at this time). Heather and Trent not trusting Lindsay from their parts of the challenge (Heather will obviously still keep Lindsay in her alliance but might think more carefully on what she trusts Lindsay with). The only ones that possibly gained trust is Geoff to Jason from not poisoning Geoff and the "suggestion" on Bunny to impress Bridgette(wouldn't surprise me if Geoff is more grateful of the later than the former).

Honestly, that might've been Chris's plan all along.

Wouldn't surprise if it was. Much as Chris put too much effort on following the Trust theme(instead of making the challenge more doable) there was a reason for it. Chris really wanted the players to see this as a Trust challenge with all that entails(who they can't or can trust and to what degree). Like Chris said "All great things begin with a little Trust" and who the players trust is very important at this stage of the game(almost at the halfway point). Wouldn't surprise me if all the players are thinking on who they can trust(especially after all the distrust they saw or/and went through).

Just finished watching the episode. Think I already made good guesses on the beginning scene with Jason, Gwen, Trent and possible alliances Jason can do and plans that Gwen and Jason can do against Heather so let's get to the episode.

This is basically Boot Camp. Pretty confident the Bass have the advantage on this challenge. Jason will do good with this being very physical but the one to bring it home for the Bass I think is Eva. Eva's thing is the Gym girl so I think she can beat Gwen at the last part of the challenge. Wouldn't surprise me if Eva has done the upside down crunches before which would help with the last part. Eva's time to shine?

Lets see who will fail this challenge. Lindsay will be out first from holding the boat part(really pointing to her being their weakest player on the team). Originally Trent and DJ get kicked out from the essay part but with butterflies maybe they stay in longer(Trent wanting to keep a eye on Jason longer but not sure about DJ)? The Essay is pretty easy in my opinion only have to write 300 words in two hours and it doesn't need to be honest(not to mention the technically parts people can use). If I had to guess Justin will fail at the muddy course. For the last part not sure how you are gonna do it. Like you just gonna pick the best three players from their teams or just the people that made it that far?

Probably weird thing to focus on but I need to ask. When Chef does the dance with the thrusting which direction will the players thrust? Only asking because Heather and Jason can easily be next to each other with either one of them can be thrusting in the others direction. Like the jokes write themselves. Anyway if Heather makes it to the final part with Gwen and Owen can see her not quitting this time from thinking they are with Jason. Just imagining Heather and Jason at the final part just taunting and trying to rile the other one up with teasing/jokes. Which at some point makes them both fall at the same time.

Something I missed is Courtney didn't see Duncan can be nice from last chapter so curious how it will effect the possible relationship between them. Like will Courtney think Duncan will be more likely to cheat for example and just think he is a badboy that does what he wants? Will Courtney try to be controlling in the relationship? Then we got Harold being gone so no cheating vote if the Bass somehow lose.

Now to look at who would possibly be voted off from both teams. Gonna start on who I think will lose the challenge which is the Gophers. I actually think it will be a tie between Lindsay and Owen with Lindsay losing the tiebreaker challenge. Heather will try to convince Trent to vote with her on Owen(Heather knowing Trent won't vote for Gwen) but I don't think it will work from Heathers trick on Gwen last challenge(losing trust) and Lindsay poisoning Trent along with being their worst teammate so I'm guessing Trent votes for Lindsay. With Gwen knowing about the Heather alliance and knowing Trent won't vote for Heather so Gwen and Owen will vote for Lindsay to piggyback off of Trent's vote which makes it a tie. Between Owen and Lindsay in a challenge I'd bet Owen winning. Which would freak Heather out and wondering how Jason did this(well Gwen and Jason planning this together really).

Now for the off chance that the Bass lose the challenge. Kinda depends on if anything new happens with the Bunny situation or anything new but If I had to guess? Either DJ from not doing well this challenge(being their first teammate to fail the challenge) along with his performance last challenge or Courtney from now being their weakest player on the team but unlikely if she gets with Duncan.

Good guesses; I do intend Eva to do very well in this one.

Haven't gotten that far in writing, yet. I'm kinda jumping back and forth between scenes right now; I've written a bit on the obstacle course, but nothing on the others, yet. I have decided on some things while others are still up in the air. The first challenge - holding up the canoes - will go pretty much the same as in canon, as you've already guessed.

Oh, I have things planned. Jason and Heather are gonna taunt each other hard in this chapter.

Yeah, Courtney not seeing Duncan's softer side is a difference from canon that may or may not end up changing things between them. I haven't gotten that far yet, but right now I'm thinking the canon scenes between them in this chapter might go a little differently as a result. Not sure how much, though. And Harold getting voted off last time makes it very unlikely Courtney goes away in this episode, regardless of who loses... which will of course have a long-term effect on her personality, as the whole lawyer thing won't come into play. Or at least it won't come into play when/how it did in canon.

While I don't know for sure as I haven't written all the challenges yet, just from watching the episode and looking at the different campers from canon I'd say it's likely the Gophers will lose; they don't have any extra-strong players for this type of challenge while the Bass have both Eva and Jason. As for the vote... if the Gophers lose, it probably will end up between Owen and Lindsay (with Justin as a possible third candidate), unless somebody else does something heinous either during the challenge or in the days leading up to it that they didn't in canon.

Depends. As you say, the whole Bunny thing could swing such a vote against DJ, but depending on if/how he and Geoff resolve their differences it could just as well swing the other way, with Geoff getting voted off. Courtney is kinda in limbo right now, as she hasn't been a bad player but not a particularly good one, either; she's been right in the middle of the pack in most challenges... however, if the scenes between her and Duncan do end up going differently this time around that'll obviously affect her performance during the chapter's challenges, so who knows?

I have faith in my girl Eva. She was made for this.

Yeah that's pretty much what I thought. Lindsay really not pulling her weight at all the past few challenges. People will notice. Looking forward to what you have planned for the challenge.

Oh I can already hear the taunting in the future. Best part is they are both competitive so they'll keep going until they win.

Curious what you'll do with Courtney not seeing Duncan's nice side. Can only guess what she will do. Well be can still lose and be annoyed about it but won't have a case to sue so guessing no lawyer's.

Going with either Lindsay(Gwen, Owen and Trent votes) or Owen(Heather, Lindsay and Justin votes). Not sure how Justin would be on the line though. Unless something new enters the picture these are my guesses. Heather might be distracted from the taunting so she might not notice some "scheming" on Jason's part(XD).

Yep. Can easily go either DJ or Geoff depending on how things go. Courtney is the Bass weakest player at this time so it could effect things but I doubt she'll be voted this episode.

The only thing stopping me from clicking on all those spoilers is that fact that the last time I tried, I understood nothing. :(

What did you have trouble understanding? I just watch the next episode and see what will be different from the butterflies. Like what Jason will do, what is new, what isn't there anymore and how the characters are acting now from said butterflies. I'm more than willing to explain something in more detail if I can.
