If Al Gore wins in 2000, could we see Donald Trump win the US Presidency in 2008 on his real life 2016 platform? To some extent, 2008 would be an even better time for Trump's platform to be appealing since it would have been during the Great Recession and 2008 financial crisis, and the demographics in the US were more favorable to the GOP in 2008 than in 2016. At the same time, though, the 2008 Democrats were considerably less Woke than the 2016 Democrats were since the Great Awokening only began around 2013. Also, I don't know if Donald Trump would have actually had the desire to become US President by 2007-2008 in this scenario.

Anyway, what do you think about this?

Donald Trump was a member of the Democrat party in 2008. He didn't become a Republican until 2012.

He was, in fact, urged to run for President on a Democratic ticket after Gore lost, so it's unlikely he'd run on his 2016 platform against Gore at that point in time.

Al Gore wouldn't be running again in 2008 if he won in 2000, unless of course he lost in 2004 and then made a comeback in 2008. But I was thinking of having Gore win in 2000 and 2004, thus making Gore term-limited in 2008.
