If it is intended for western audiences, then the line of "yeah, we are training them to be islamist child soldiers and they worked out great for us in past fights already" is kinda making a completely opposite to the point they would want to make.
That sounds more like if they are trying to capitalize on the sudden popularity of the program and fishing for foreign support from more sympathetic people of all nations.

Are they going to have another photo of proud Palestinians raising bloody hands from Israelis they butchered?
They could not butcher Israeli, becouse in Israel there is no such thing like Israeli citizenship - you could be either jew, arab or another minority. So,they could butcher jew,but not Israeli, becouse Israel is racist state which do not akcnowledge izraeli citizenship.
But ,aside from that - Why not? media support them,so it would be something like ,i do not knew, peacefull muslims helping injured jew.

Amid West Bank protests, journalists ask UN for protection against Palestinian Authority

Journalists are not really safe in the West Bank either.

Notice how this is not major news and is barely reported, even though the media's own people are at risk here (when it's, say, a Trump supporter harassing a journalist they usually scream bloody murder). Gotta protect the darling Palestinians at all costs.

Not to mention that even if the UN were inclined, it doesn't help that the AP reporters put themselves in the line of fire to keep their access to the Palestinians open. Apparently being a journalist means volunteering for human shield duty on the off chance you get the Next Big Scoop...

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
@GoldRanger how bad do you think Hamas had it when they got fooled into hiding in the tunnels only to be bombed?

It should put a damper on their plans when they need to train up another generation to go die if they were really expecting an invasion so many of them bolted underground ready to give the IDF lots of trouble only to get bombed from above.

I know that the IDF itself was disappointed by the limited effect the strikes had. While the idea and execution were brilliant, it seems that not as many Hamas operatives have died as the IDF hoped (although a good many still did). Also, there's still an unknown percentage of the underground network that survived.

I'd day it was a good move, but it has tactical significance rather than a strategic one.

Hamas will probably try to rebuild the tunnels in different areas and concentrate on counter-intelligence to deny the IDF the exact intel it needs to destroy the tunnels again.
