I’ll bump the thread by creating my randomly rolled own civ:
Climate:4-Cold Tundra
Ethnicity:2-European
Leader:6-Elective Despotism
Religion:94-Monotheism
Speciality:4:Fierce Warriors
Tech Level:78-Iron Smithing.
The Menatti were a surprisingly advanced civilization that lived sometime around 2000 BC-100 AD. An elective monarchy the Menatti government was surprisingly stable not suffering that many civil wars when compared to other civilizations of their age. They would gain a reputation as fierce warriors conquering what is in our timeline’s Western Russia and finland mostly under the great king “Alikyovech The Conqueror”. Here’s the territory that they controlled at their height:

Their culture was unique for the time in that it believed in monotheism. The name of the religion in question was “Nowswerusmnism” named after its founder Nowserusm believing that their was only one God called “Qwortyoiupard” whom ruled all the universe from his sit in heaven and whom all souls shall be absorbed to when they die.The religion’s doctrine says that by studying the universe we shall understand Qwortyoiupard thus leading to immense technological growth. In 100 AD the Civilization would fall to cenral asian invaders markings it end as a political entity though its culture would endure into the present day

Looking at the rolls... if they're living in the cold tunrda, then I'd imagine that they would have to live near the ocean and get their food by fishing and whaling. Maybe they have fisheries and cultivate clams too. All that protein would make them very buff. They won't be launching any deep or prolonged inland invasion campaigns, though, so they'd have to content themselves with raiding or capturing coastal settlements. Sounds like they'd be like Vikings/Saxons.

I’m curious as to what you rolled.

1 Very Cold Tundra
6 Mesopotamian Ethnicity
2 Hereditary Despotism
7 Plutocracy
24 Polytheism
81 Great Architects
53 Bronze Smithing

This largely makes sense aside from the Very Cold Tundra which is kind of dramatically at odds with Great Architects, since massive building projects are nigh-impossible in that kind of climate.

And also the fact that they’re of Mesoptamian ethnicity.

Well I could presume they migrated to the tundra for some reason to answer that, but there's no way they're building pyramids or the Taj Mahal on permafrost.

Is it just me or are we rolling an improbable number of cold tundra civilizations here?

99 - Hot Steppe
4 - Indian
6 - Elective Despotism
96 - Secularism
32 - Crusaders
92 - Steel

... what? Secular crusaders. Running around wielding steel. Given steppe, you'd definitely expect mounted warriors, probably primarily horse archers. If I had to guess at government structure, probably pretty federalized; various clans elect their head, and these heads elect their overall leader. Now what a bunch of secular hyper-advanced (for their time) probable nomads are crusading for? Not quite sure. Can bet conquering the (known) world is not out of reach for them though.

6 - Elective Despotism
85 - Reduced Polytheism

92 - Steel

And here's Jarow's main adversaries, mountain warrior clans who fiercely raid the godless secularists on the Steppes, led by elected War Chiefs. When a child is born, male or female, their hands are placed on the hilt of a sword, so that the first thing they grasp is a weapon.

Men and Women fight side by side, until the women choose their mate and start to rear children, training them in the ways of war from an early age. All members of the clan are considered warriors, even those who till the fields and work the forges and mines.

Atir and Akan, the War-King and War-Queen respectively, rule over the Clans from Their divine throne in the Celestial Realm, judging the worth of warriors. Honor and skill is prized above all else. There had once been other Gods, but those have been subordinated to the Two and serve them as advisors in the Celestial Realm.

While the clans seem to war amongst themselves even more than with outsiders, there are profound differences. In battles between clans, weapons are secured in sheaths and arrows are blunted, the purpose of inter-Clan warfare is honor, not blood, and many matings come out of such contests as male and female warriors of the two clans involved meet in battle and find themselves attracted to each other.

Against outsiders? The blades are sharp, the arrows are deadly, and prisoners are rarely taken. And whenever some fool comes into the mountains proclaiming against the Gods, their screams can be heard for days as the clans ensure that they take a long time to die.

17-Temperate(Forest)
2-European(Hmmm i got this twice)
7-Plutocracy
94-Monotheism(Again?)
24-Merchants
99-Steel
The Jeogas were a great kingdom located in what is now southern germany and austria. They had a very shrewd business culture and were able to control most trade coming around them. Their society was based on wealth and influence being not just a de facto but de jure plutocracy. They worshiped the same religion as the Menatti as the religion was spread through trade as merchants from Menatti gradually spread the religion there. They were very advanced for 2000 BC having steel weapons and great tactics which allowed their kingdom to survive for about 3,000 years before falling in 1000 AD from civil war and eastern european invasions.
OOC:All civs here are in the same TL

They could be crusaders for a political ideology rather than a traditional religion.

Yeah. This may sound weird in the ancient context, but is not unimaginable. Chinese-style confucianism, as an example, is more philosophy than a religion in the supernatural sense.

The Yuan Wu
99 Hot/Steppe
9 Asian
8 Aristocracy/Nobility
43 Polytheism
29 Merchants
43 Pottery/Masonry/Copper Smelting/The Chalcolithic Age

Oh boy I really lost out by creating this civilization which is, admittedly, very interesting. These people are obviously the ancestors of the Mongols. However, they are nomadic Merchants so they could rise from their humble beginnings to become a regional or maybe even world power. The Yuan Wu survive and even prosper through trade with their neighbors as a mercantile power. They worship many gods, especially the god of commerce and wealth, who is also a nature god. These people have not yet discovered bronze age smelting but they are just advanced enough to become noted traders.
