An agreement was reached last Saturday between the leaders of the rebel Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces during talks in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a seven day cease fire which American and Saudi diplomats helped broker.

The cease fire starts Monday Night, so about a couple hours before this post was made.

The cease fire will be monitored by representatives from both sides, as well as from the United States and Saudi Arabia.

This comes after five weeks of heavy fighting and many failed previous temporary cease fires.

I'll be honest, after the initial outbreak of hostilities and the RSF seizing various places, within a week or so, the Sudanese Armed Forces seemed like they had retaken a lot of key areas including Port Sudan and the airbases initially overrun, but now as more weeks have passed and we're in the second week of fighting, just glancing at the new unofficial maps that OSINT accounts are throwing up, it appears like the RSF is actually gaining a lot of a territory in Khartoum, at least compared to the situation a while ago.

I wonder if there's something similar going on with the rest of the country. RSF's main base of power seemed to be in the troubled Darfur region in the West of the country.

These maps are obviously deceiving btw. Not only due to the obvious low confidence of accuracy you'd get from maps in general, but these maps give the illusion that Khartoum for example... is surrounded by a sea of Sudanese Armed Forces controlled territory and that's not necessarily the case. It's a lot of empty and rural areas and history has shown time and time again that across the vast expanses of Sudan, offensives can be launched halfway across the country over hundreds of miles and sometimes with legitimate surprise.

The truly unfortunate thing is that neither the SAF or the RSF Rebels really seem to have the best interests of the general population and its desires in mind, but they do have the largest proportion of the firepower so the fate of the country is up to them at the moment.

Some other developments. Along with both sides having reportedly engaged in crimes against the civilian population, there's been widespread looting including of World Food Programme warehouses. The below post by a Sudanese Reporter with the BBC seems to indicate that the RSF are responsible for much of the looting.

Meanwhile the Governor of the disputed Darfur region has taken a reportedly neutral stance on the conflict but recently stated that residents should take up arms and "defend themselves from attacks." The location of the infamous Darfur Genocide back in the late 2000's, it's feared that Governor Minni Arko Minnawi's statements might actually inflame more inter-tribal tension in an area of the country that is already dealing with plenty of tribal instability. Conversely, with the RSF largely formed up of Arab North Africans, and Darfur (and Governor Minnawi) not being of Arab background and the the victims of previous genocidess, maybe this is actually the sensible call to make.

Anyways lots is happening.

A twenty four hour Humanitarian truce ended and fighting has thusly resumed.

RSF Captured a town on the border of Sudan and the Central African Republic which supposedly will allow them to be more easily supplied by Wagner PMC forces who are allied with the Central African Republic regime.

Drones likely supplied by the United Arab Emirates showing up in the arsenal of the RSF Forces in Sudan.

Also reports of new genocidal campaigns rising in the Western Darfur region of Sudan again, where a thousand noncombatants may have been killed by RSF forces.

So Wagner is working for both the government and the rebels? Talk about business making business.

Wagner has been working for Sudanese government for several years and still is working for them. As matter of fact all the work they previously did with RSF (and which osinters claim is proof of them being part of rebellion) was done as part of government contracts, as government controlled them back then.

I think Wagner is about to go full Warlord edition. Pretty sure ground-zero is going to be in Africa...though it might be in a former-Soviet state.

I'm not sure what it has to do with what you quoted from me though since your statement was rather ambiguous to most at face value readings.🤷‍♀️

The RSF is apparently kicking butt recently, which makes sense considering how they were the main infantry force for Sudan these past years and captured several government buildings during the still ongoing fighting in Khartoum.

Also an article translated from Arabic published in Darfur24. It details the allegations of reported massacres and mass killings that occurred (merely ten days after Khamis Abakar, the Governor of the region was assassinated by the RSF) near the West Darfur town of El Geneia.

And a UN Report on the matter.

New Maps For the Sudan Civil War. It looks like the Rapid Support Forces have seen more success after almost being brought low in the opening stages of the Civil Conflict. The Sudanese Armed Forces Control the Red Sea Coast, the Nile River Delta and much of the South and East of the Country (which ironically is still being contested by more perennial Rebel groups like the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Movement0 and other third party groups.

Ethnic Cleansing is still ongoing in the Darfur Region as well. There was reportedly a massacre of over 800 Black Africans in the Darfur Region by RSF Jihadists (who are playing Houthi music).

Black Lives Matter hasn't been reached for comment yet.

Nobody cares about black lives, unless they are taken by white people. Hell, the most recent Ethiopian civil war exceeded the death toll of Ukraine war and hardly anyone remembers that it happen.

Sudanese Civil War Entering Its Seventh Month, with the Capitol of Khartoum having seen fighting since the beginning. BBC reports five million displaced, and almost 25 million in need of humanitarian assistance.

Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are attempting to seize road crossings over the Nile to unite their forces with fighting taking place at a dam near the city of Jebel Aulia. The dam crossed by a one lane road and the location approximately forty kilometers south of Khartoum makes it an important transportation route. It's been a scene of heavy fighting for the past several weeks and Sudanese Armed Forces recently destroyed a bridge nearby, making control of the dam even more important.

Media Reports that the RSF Has Captured Another Major SAF base in the Darfur Region Where Reports of Mass Civilian Killing of the Local Black African Population is Still Ongoing, Rekindling the Genocide That Used to Plague that Region. Recently it was reported some five thousand were killed, many of them buried alive, by RSF militants.

Armed groups who were signatories to the 2020 Juba Agreement Which By and Large Ended Major Hostilities (and War Crimes) in the Darfur Region are now debating which side to join. Some have upheld neutrality while others are choosing the SAF or RSF to back now that the SAF-RSF bromance ended over a half a year ago.

Rapid Support Forces have entered the city of Wad Madani.

Wad Madani is an important city located eighty miles south of the capitol of Khartoum on the West Bank of the Blue Nile. It was actually considered secure by the SAF not too long ago (and who prematurely celebrated fending off an RSF assault on the city the day before) that refugees from the fighting in Khartoum were taking shelter there. Now it's been overrun a mere three days after RSF Forces entered the state of Jezira (which Wad Madani is the Capitol of). An estimated half million people had fled to the State of Jezira/Al Jazirah since the conflict began. Many of them have now been displaced yet again.

Post on how important Wad Madani has been for refugees and aid groups.

In the city of Nyala, under the control of RSF forces, protest against the War have taken place. Nyala is also suffering from bombardment by the Sudanese Armed Forces aircraft which has led to significant civilian casualties due to the imprecise airstrikes.

More reports of ethnic cleaning and mass killing/genocide taking place in Darfur continue, a mere couple years after the previous decade plus long Genocide had been reported as officially ended.

Conservative estimates are twelve thousand killed so far as a low estimation in the eight month long conflict. This doesn't seem to include those killed by "natural causes" including a measles outbreak that reportedly killed a thousand children. Almost seven million refugees and internally displaced people. Famine is expected to strike in the coming months and there have been serious outbreaks of cholera in Khartoum, Wad Medani and the surrounding regions as well.

Website Documenting the Losses in the Sudanese Civil War So Far.

Losses divided between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces but also includes Unknown losses as well as some interesting smaller entries from the Egyptian military and Wagner PMC.

Preliminary Tabulation from the earlier months in the conflict, apparently the numbers will rise as losses in more recent weeks of conflict are tabulated.

That's a lotta Toyota Land Cruisers...

Because it's either irrelevant to Clown World's objectives, or the outcome was in accordance with them.
