By then the game was already being redesigned from being the fun game it was at launch, to being a boring slog that was meant for a floating camera to stream for esports. The content updates were too little, too late and the game quickly became stale. There were two dozen plotlines that had been established over four years and none of them had progressed one bit.

on a serious note, it's a shame because Overwatch had the potential to be really good. Honestly, the biggest complaint I've heard is that overwatch 2 feels less like a sequel and more like just a big patch with some roster updates.
