I am dreading the outpouring of hatred and spite from "liberals" and the like, and of course the Labour party and the Tory stooges will likely move to turn Britain in a republic now that she is gone.

Id be more judgmental but I know as soon as Hilary dies Im going to play 'ding dong the witch is dead' and dance so Im not allowed to judge on that sort of thing.

Rest in peace you Majesty.

No the succession means Charles gets the throne. Then there is the question of what regal name he will choose, with some people thinking he will go George VII and others thinking he will go for Charles III which I think would be cooler especially because I want to see him dissolve the fucking parliament and get a new one without any WEF stooges, though that sadly will not happen but it's nice to dream.
Don't we all wish.

RON/PLC was a wonderful country.

I will say this much, let them try it. I wonder how long it will take to understand that it is better with the Monarch than without it, though.
They may be strongly surprised by what happens.

Get rid of the monarchy and the English budget looses at least $100,000,000 a year. That is from the lands and property the royal family legally owns and would revert to them.

Vicky or Lizzie. Who reigned longer?
Elizabeth, by some 7 years(70 years, 214 days vs. 63 years, 216 days).

As for my opinion, for whatever it's worth:

She was a class act, and one that we'll probably not live to see repeated. The world is worse for her passing.

She was also a WWII vet:

... and an auto mechanic because British automobiles of the period were, shall we say, fussy on a good day.

I don't see a republic working unless you guys do something similar to the US constitution (assuming you don't do like we do and ignore it when it suits the elites) where the individual provinces are given mostly autonomy with the parliament and the senate handling things like the military and international relations and that might not even work since it could be argued that providences like Irland and Scotland are perfectly functional sovereign nation their own right. Not to mention that both the Labour party and the Tory Party still want a very collectivist centralized government with a nobility ruling over everything. They just want to replace the old nobility with their own.

Honestly I think your best hope is that the new king isn't a Marxist sympathizer. Otherwise, succession and the ultimate disillusion of the British empire maybe the only chance the individual countries themselves remain intact.
