Turning someone into a wraith is not "chemistry". We are not talking about a weapon that will kill you. We are talking about a weapon that will make you.. ahem... not die at all.
Yeah, ok, sure, sufficiently advanced tech...

I remember what stabbed Frodo, and iirc that stuff was spreading through him like some disease or cancer.

The truth is that the Dune verse is quite advanced, it is their feudal system and all their conventions and prohibitions are what limits its usage.

A lasgun will annihilate the one ring, or if things get that bad a Stone burner, or even atomics, some of that shit can literally crack a planet's mantle, and by Chapterhouse total planetary destruction was possible.

Also, if he isn't a human that means the great convention does not work on him, nukes ahoy.

Since the Ring is on Arrakis and Sauron starts in the Capitol of House Corrino, I think both Sauron and I are in agreement that using planet busting weapons on Arrakis AND nuking House Corrino itself are excellent ways of scourging this unknown shapeshifting, angelic subversive from the Galaxy.

While you might be able to destroy Sauron's avatar with a nuke if you caught him by surprise, he'll just respawn again later.
The Ring can be un-made only in the fires in which it was formed. Shattering the planet it happens to be on will do nothing to it.

And do I need to point out the problem with destroying Arrakis?

So much magical power and yet they still die from bronze and iron-age arms...

Yeah it's hard to believe that Feyd-Ruatha was supposed to Father the Kwisatz-Haiderach but then just died to some stone age weapon. Like is that all it takes? A bone knife?

Bene Gesserit can literally manipulate their body chemistry, I doubt that knife will do anything.

Prescience can also be blocked by some forms of tech, like No-ships that literally bend reality to hide from prescience.

Also, if he isn't a human that means the great convention does not work on him, nukes ahoy.
I really love imagining Sauron popping up on Arrakis, only for the planet to explode lmao. XD

Yeah, and sheilds and lasguns can do nuclear superboom.

And lasweapons are very powerful.
Oh yeah, Lasguns are pretty hilariously powerful. The ultimate irony is the defence against them also serves to make you explode like a nuke.
The 'one ring' is a bit of a deliberate no-limits item though, it can only be destroyed by the thing that created it. If you take it literally you can drop the ring in a supermassive black hole and it'll be just fine.
