The second design decision poll

To explain the question. As it stands, the game is balanced and designed for a relatively slow pace of gameplay. Expansion and advancement will be slow and there will be plenty of time for players to write up stories if they wish about their civilizations over time. Think of it as playing Civ in Marathon mode. You are going to be spending a great deal of time in between advancements.

It's about right. I think I need to go through a few turns with the GM's guidance to get the game mechanics. This is the first game I've played that was this mechanic-driven.

I am having fun with imagining my race so time to develop their culture, history, and stories about them will be fun.

Yeah, I think a slow pace innately suits multiplayer play-by-post, especially with people scattered across time zones and life schedules. And we want to reward careful and thoughtful planning, not lightning reflexes -- we can go play Counter-Strike if we want reflexy gaming.
