I still think Rey died during the fight with Snoke. The clip is out there where the guard with two knives manages to grab her from behind. Yet we don't see him drop his other blade. So, why didn't he go to town, stabbing her in the back?

Yeah, that was one of the most bafflingly poorly choreographed fights in cinema history period, certainly the worst one in the entire SW movie franchise.
There were no real stakes or emotional component, Snoke was already dead and killing the guards wouldn't do anything to save the Resistance, only save Rey, so it failed on that level. The actual sequence was incredibly sloppy with weapons having to be edited out and moments making no sense, such as the guard's armor no-selling a lightsaber blow only to cleave like paper a few seconds later. Nobody seems to know what a guard position is and there are multiple points where people are in a great position for a stab, sometime with bare inches between their weapon and somebody else's vulnerable organs, and instead they inexplicably decide to move their weapon away so they can throw a punch or kick.
I think that a set of non force users wearing lightsaber resistant armor could have made an epic fight scene too. but they fucked it up. how hard is that? imagine seeing the shock on kylo's or wooden plank's face when the lightsaber gets no sold and then needing to figure out how to get some environment kills on this band of highly elite fighters. they had the budget to make it awesome and they fucked it up.
Again, it says a lot that kabuki dancers who are deliberately putting on a flashy show and not a believable fight have better choreography than Hollywood actors who are supposed to be acting out a believable fight.
Actually, I’d argue that a 3D-printed Droideka that actually walks around also counts, though I guess that has too many mechanical requirements to make work. Never mind the ability to curl up, roll about, or brandish blaster cannons — all of which remain firmly in science-fiction territory (at least, for now).
Hello, hello, hello, just finished the most recent update for SWTOR's latest expansion, Legacy of the Sith.
Darth Malgus really goes for the 'tough love' approach for encouraging his old comrade, Mandalore the Avenger, by taunting her about not being able to finish off Heta Kol and that the latter will destroy her. It'd come off as him just being a jerk, except he's a Sith, and thus he's clearly trying to goad her and stoke her rage and hate for Heta Kol even more. Never give up, Shae, never give up.
Elsewhere, Darth Rivix proves himself as slippery as his one-time master, Darth Acina, drawing that brute Tau Idair into thinking she had the upper hand in their duel...only for Darth Rivix to maneuver her into a position where she could get blasted by Darth Nul's security system, all the while Darth Rivix just walks away with a smile. This guy is quickly turning into a breakout star despite having an underwhelming introduction way back when.
*chef's kiss*
Anyway, onto the main deal...bloody fucking hell, why is the Jedi High Council so damn dogmatic? Turns out Darth Nul used to be a Jedi Master who, like Meetra Surik, had the power to naturally form bonds with and encourage the abilities of people around her. More than that, she believed that everyone with the power to touch the Force should be given the chance to explore it, only for the Council to expel her for such 'dangerous' beliefs.
Surprise, surprise, Master Raniah getting exiled to the Outer Rim only left her vulnerable to Darth Vitiate's web, culminating in the Sith Empire secretly storming her sanctuary, and Darth Vitiate personally turning her to the Dark Side as Darth Nul. Seriously, Jedi?
It began going badly pear-shaped with the Eternal Empire crap and Vitiate's final end, was sort-of prolonged on life-support via "Tenebrae's last contingency" (the "making a pale copy/clone from an imprint" plot), and has sunk hard and fast since then.

A decade ago, and I'd have agreed with you. These days, though? Even the worst of SWTOR is better than...whatever this is, that Disney is shitting out.
...at this point, I'll take what I can get. It's either that, or give up on Star Wars entirely. Hell, at this point, I'll go ahead and just rewatch the Star Wars Holiday Special on Betamax over any of the Disney crap. Granted, I'll have to find a new Betamax player first, but it's worth more the effort and money than anything of Disney's.
Piece of shit worthless rat piss Disney garbage *spits*
I find it hilarious that we were all calling out Disney Wars' media as going to be terrible pieces of shit (bar a few exceptions), and we were completely correct in the end. We were called "negative" and "haters" by the drones on our sister sites.
Especially when it was said that tFA was basically aNH retread.

In my defense, I was blinded by the hype at the time.
And even once that had started fading off, I gave them something of a pass for being a New Hope remake under the mistaken belief that Disney did it on purpose to try and rebuild confidence after the Prequel’s miss-steps.
The Last Jedi fully broke the illusion for me and I saw things as they were.
I thought it could be amazing. The new trilogy could be heir to the empire. A rouge squadron TV show about beating the empire back and becoming the new republic. A Jedi academy series. A bounty hunter movie. Movies about every aspect of star wars. There was no limit to the glorious golden age of star wars content we could have had!
Look at marvel. They could do the same thing, right?
I had no idea...
How could they be so utterly blind and stupid to burn everything they have to the ground. It's insane.
There are going to be many long involved documentaries on this era of Disney. All of them negative.

Same for me. "The quality and buildup of Avengers, but it's the OT heroes teaching a new generation of heroes with Mark Hammil, Carrie Fischer, and Harrison Ford already on board" was a very good opening. Rogue One was also a nice appetizer that looked like they were headed in the right direction, not a perfect movie but an excellent start that felt like Star Wars and could have been ripped from one of my better RP games.
