Generally speaking, 9/10ths of our ships already fill that role. The ships that Bear Ribs choose from the Imperial fleet selection are already pretty generalized and are decent all-rounders. You can take any Victory II and send it with 3x Tartans as a task force solve any small or moderate problem. You could argue that our two interdictors or Securators are specialized, but they are still alright ships without their specializations.

Good, though it is probably good to have those few specialized ships if they fill roles that others cannot or are just that good.

Lucky for me, there seems to be a consensus on the third iteration of the anti starfighter fleet plan.

These resources will make more sense after the first story post, as they are not something a superiority fleet would be dealing with. But as I've said, I've had to make allowances in how the story goes to get the premise to work better.
The reason this doesn't use favour points is because favour points are your resources for your fleet, the control I give players over this vote is purely for "player agency over the story" reasons. The same can be said for the arrival system part of the vote, since while I could roll all results by chance, giving you a say in how your faction will be shaped by their circumstance other than their origin and military assets.

I'll probably close this vote quicker than the last one, since that one was massive, this is a lot less to work through. So I'll check in on the thread now and then and give you a time when I close the vote at that time instead of now.

And there goes my theory that we suffered an abnormal hyperspace accident that abandoned us off into the Unknown Regions. Instead we're the escorts of a colonization fleet and the fleet of this newly colonized sector. Unless we were supposed to get more colonists once we set up the initial colony along with the Moff and the civilian administration, but the Battle of Endor, the death of the Emperor and the Empire fragmenting into Warlord states removed that option.

Regarding our options, I want a Cardan-class space station, they're vastly more versatile than Golans as they allow us to repair and maintain our warships. I think they can even host more starfighter squadrons than the Golans and have more firepower, but I'm not exactly sure with the specifics. The other option I definitely want are the X7 Deep Space manufacturing facilities, as they allow us to build starfighters and other weapons. Considering they're also in orbit they allow us to manufacture other things that require microgravity.
We already have a Lormar refinery and Haven medical station, so I don't think it's worth doubling up on them. Same goes for the IPV-1s, already have 20 of them for system defence. To add an Imperial Planetary Occupation Facility, would save us the initial resources and build time by already having a prebuilt headquarters. More Civil-Industrial droids will decrease building times and the Mining Guild Ore Crawlers will give us more +Resources as they can cover more ores.

While we already have one refinery that one will probably be dedicated to supplying the planet, and its 10 million people, with material while this second one will supply the shipyard and other orbital infrastructure. The extra I-C2 Droids will give us some construction assets dedicated to our projects and not something we will have to 'borrow' from the civilians.

Watsonian: If a Sector Moff asks you to do an escort mission on one leg of the trip on your way to your actual mission, can you actually afford to refuse?
Doylist: You're on the money on your initial idea, I just had to do a bit of an asspull to make sure the start isn't completely borked on the economic end, still not good, but not a complete disaster of "we are a military without an economy" levels.

Correct, and slavery is even morally justified according to the Imperial view on things. It's mostly about resources being untapped or not, and whether a subjugation campaign will be needed, possibly bogging you down on your start.

Heh, I'm guessing to our sudden disappearance people in the wider galaxy will wonder what happened to Kan Styndath and his Fleet. People can even compare us with the disappearance of the Katana Fleet.

Why would we want pesky aliens on our new homeworld? We'll always be in danger of a potential slave revolt due to the resentment (rightfully) of the natives. Plus if they number in the billions our colonists will simply be outnumbered and it's simply too risky - enemies will have an easy source of information on us and recruits for uprisings against us.

Why would we want pesky aliens on our new homeworld? We'll always be in danger of a potential slave revolt due to the resentment (rightfully) of the natives. Plus if they number in the billions our colonists will simply be outnumbered and it's simply too risky - enemies will have an easy source of information on us and recruits for uprisings against us.
Exactly, we can always expand later.

I'll probably call it in a couple of hours, let's say 16:00 UTC+1, feel free to come up with new plans or vote on the current one until then. Since three or four votes are about what we've seen so far on previous plans I feel confident that I can probably accept the current plan and move on to rolling it out.

Also really starting to feel that I probably should have reserved a bunch of posts at the start of the thread for sheets and stuff, but I'll just have to manage with sorting it all into threadmark categories at some point.

Edit: Feeling a bit of writers block, but I have started and written some of the first story post, probably won't be up today though.
