The Summer Steam Sale of 2020 has finally arrived, too late to capitalize on the Lockdown sadly. Apparently they're doing some new promotions, with a buy thirty dollars worth of games, save five bucks but other then that, there's just the standard broad base of sweeping discounts across a wide variety of games.

So any of you folks planning on draining your wallet in offering to Saint Gabe for anything in particular?

Maybe. Thinking of grabbing tank mechanic simulator and cold waters, other than that, I'm pretty busy with my current library.

Here are (some) of the games I'm thinking of wanting to purchase (and still potentially never play):

Dungeons 3: I never played any of the Dungeon Keeper style games so this looks fun!

Tropico 6: I love the Tropico games but ironically I actually enjoyed Tropico 4 more then Tropico 5 so... yeah... I've been holding off.

South Park: Fractured But Whole: I really enjoyed the first South Park game... but will I like this one? I heard it's just not as good.

Disco Elysium: No spoilers but... is it worth checking out and why?

Right now I have Watch_Dogs 2 Gold, Bloons TD5, and Valve Complete Pack in my cart.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on purchasing them today.

The Valve Complete Pack?

The first two games of countless award winning trilogies? :p

Also... I can't believe I'm asking this... is there a reason why you chose Bloons TD5 over Bloons TD 6? Asking for an anklebiter.

Kerbal Space Program is ten bucks. That's verging on the edge of the point where even my penny-pinching behind is pretty sure it'd be worth it. And Fallout: New Vegas is three. I'm pretty sure that's a solid pick-up.

On the other hand, the depths of my cheapskate-ery reminds me I still have the Shogun Total War game sitting about with no time in it, I'm still entertained by the spreadsheet-hell of Europa Universalis 3, and someday I should finish the, like, two year-old Vampire: The Masquerade game I started when that junk went on-sale many moons ago.

Suppose I have till the 8th to decide.

Not really, 3 or 4 are vastly better in several ways.
No, I've played 4 and New Vegas, and even despite my bias towards 4 because I've been to everywhere there in real life, New Vegas is clearly better. The story of New Vegas is simply excellent, and the DLCs are definitely worth it as well.

The fact it has a maybe better story doesn't make up for it's glaring mechanical issues. I've had more bugs and gamebreaking issues in NV than I have in any of the other games, despite putting far more hours into them than NV.

That's fair. Consider modding the game with the unofficial patch to get it to work better. But I do think that despite the errors, NV is just so much better than the others, because the story is that much better.
