Scenario One:

The California Fleet has to defend their states coastline from the Texas Fleet which is escorting the USS San Antonio to the Californian coastline. If it dislodges its loathsome load of Texans upon the California beaches... ggwp California. They lose.

Scenario Two:

The Texas Fleet has to defend the Houston Ship Channel from the odious California Fleet who has decided to blow the crap out of the Fred Hartman Bridge because they can.

Scenario Three:

It is Late May, 1916 and the German High Seas Fleet is chugging out to meet the Royal Navy. Instead they'll be ambushed by the California OR the Texas Fleet which has full knowledge of the events of the Battle that is to come and the context of the situations. Whichever State Fleet inflicts more damage upon zee German High Seas Fleet by the end of June 2nd wins this scenario.

EDIT: I'm not sure the best options for the attacking ships "starting positions" so yeah... figure that out for me and any other particulars I might've forgotten (lets be honest, don't know) about.

Nice idea, it seems that niether side as far as i can tell has any anti-ship missiles, so that helps making this fight a gun fight only.

Well I tossed in the USS Coronado and the USS Fort Worth which potentially can be armed with a four missile launcher of surface to air missiles in some of their configurations which can be used against surface targets and could be devastating, but still far from decisive for either side since it's only a handful of missiles.

But yes, it would be even more interesting to see how it turns out if even they weren't toting missiles either but still had their advanced radars and sensor compliment (and helicopters etc). Also the USS Galveston has 60's/70's era Talos SAM missiles which has some limited surface to surface capability and was used mainly against North Vietnamese SAM sites as a result.

Would as a example USS Galveston be as she was when she was first commissioned ore during here last year in service.

For the USS Galveston the intention was for her to be used as she was towards the end of her service, so with the early model SAM's. Help offset the numerical advantage California has.
