The 1920 Democratic US presidential nominee if Charles Evans Hughes wins the US Presidency in 1916?

Who would the 1920 Democratic US presidential nominee be if Charles Evans Hughes wins the US Presidency in 1916? William McAdoo? Real life's 1920 Democratic nominee, Ohio Governor James Cox? Someone else? Woodrow Wilson again, if he avoids having his near-fatal stroke before the 1920 election? Could Wilson have become the new Grover Cleveland in such a scenario? I'm asking about this because if Hughes wins in 1916, then 1920 should be a Democratic year due to public anger over World War I and its aftermath, including the subsequent recession. Indeed, in addition to economics, many groups likely won't like the post-WWI settlement to some degree/extent, and some people also won't like the increase in US government power that will likely still occur as a result of WWI, even if this increase in US government power will only be temporary.

Anyway, what do you think?
