I've given thought to it, getting a place along the coast out in Texas.
It would certainly return me to my rapid-fire ficupdating. That and I enjoy fishing and hunting without having to go anywhere.
Great place, but you will still be in the humidity there.
Probably not as much as here which is what makes it tempting to risk.

It is autumn. The cold and 'flu season. Nothing to worry about!

Keep yourself hydrated. I was basically without symptoms except that it I lost a near fatal amount of fluid fighting the damn thing off and ended up needing a three day IV drip to unscrew my kidneys.
The new strain seems to be less brutal in terms of how it impacts you but yeah it sucks you dry which can be fatal if you aren't careful.

You should get a 3rd opinion because medical stuff has an expiration date after which it's no longer trustworthy.
Most most convience stores with a pharmacy (like Wallgreens) advertise the fact that they can provide things like COVID vaccinatons and flu shots OTC.
Eat some quercetin and vitamin C, D and Zinc together.

When my big sis Euphie stumbled into the St. Vincent's ER using a cane in 2019 the ER doctor's and nurses were wondering "How the hell are you still alive?" and said "You aren't going home today." within minutes.
It took 10 days and a PICC line to unfuck her electrolyte levels.
