I think that we did that back in the early 1990’s and it didn’t work out too well.

Eh, a lot of that is that our desire to spread freedom and liberty wasn't strong enough.

You don't win wars through half measures, and the US has been using half measures exclusively since Korea.

Or, maybe killing people into having freedom and democracy is actually bad and doesn’t work.

Though we never invaded South Africa, just put economic and political pressure on them.

Anyway, this is a tangent.

We are so ridiculously unfree right now it’s absurd to pretend we are. The only thing we have become more free in since 2001 are vices that make us worse off and more unhealthy and easier to control.

no even in that we are less free then we used to be, because we have moral guadians out to cancel all the things.

Hardly. They are happy to legalize drugs and to remove shame from things like obesity while subsidizing and making cheap the food that makes you fat as hell. Sites like Reddit would rather host rape porn than right wing politics. Your vices aren’t touched unless your vices are deemed racist or against progressivism. Most big tech is the same. It’s vastly more tolerant, accepting and promoting of porn than what the core of the first amendment is actually for.

It's funny to see someone who advocates banning porn complain about how unfree the US is right now. :)
Because porn isn’t important to protect lol. Being able to express political dissent against the regime is. Because right now passports for vaccinations are being rolled out, much of the country you can be arrested or have your business crushed if you don’t follow guidelines. You can be arrested for having too many people at your home. If your kid wants to chemically castrate themselves you can’t say no. If you think porn being banned is remotely comparable to the way dissent is crushed and silenced right now your priorities reflect your addiction.

It just reflects your mentality to conflate this issue, but what it really comes down to is "freedom for me, but not for thee." I'll say no more on the issue - it's already been discussed to death. I'm hardly one to bash on doompilling, but that's all your revival of this thread by quoting my post (which was made entirely in jest to begin with) amounts to.

That’s not what it’s about at all lol. My position is a very basic premise. Bread and circuses make controllable populations that allow the government to do whatever they want. Take away bread and circuses and they can’t control you as easily. It’s not blackpilling I’m just saying we aren’t a very free people right now, which we obviously aren’t. It’s laughable to go “Americans are free” when we spent Independence Day last year trapped in our homes by the regime and will probably do the same this one. I’m of the opinion that if no one had access to pornhub while they were at home locked in along with other things like that, the lockdown protests would have probably been a lot larger and people would have been less tolerable of all their basic freedom to move and to work and to have a business stripped from them.
